Emulator Issues #2109
closedNSMB Wii graphics back-to-front
0%
Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start the game w/ directx plugin
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The graphics should be in the right order.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r4922 on Intel Celeron m @ 1.6ghz laptop with 2gb ram.
Please provide any additional information below.
All objects in the background come in front of Mario (and all the other
characters & enemies) and makes playing this game VERY frustrating. Still
playable to the end as far as I'm concerned.

Really? Got a screenshot?
What graphics card? If it's Intel, well, blame Intel. We try to support ATI and
nVidia, Intel's drivers are just too crappy.

yeah, I guess since you have an Intel Celeron m @ 1.6ghz laptop, your gfx card will
also be the problem, because no one else is having this as far as I know.
Sorry dude, but for Dolphin you're gonna need a new machine.

what does accepted mean? does it mean it will be started on soon?
Updated by pedro.jedi almost 15 years ago
It means that they accepted and will fix it when the time is appropriate. If I were
you I wouldn't expect to play wii games perfectly using an intel gpu soon (maybe never).

Accepted means that the problem has being reproduced or has being acknowledged.

hrydgard do you care about this since it's an intel after all? :p

As said, it might be the same as issue 1703.
Also, since it worked better in older revs, we could possibly have a special path for
those intel gfx that don't support the Z buffer Dolphin uses (i though there was one
already ?)

It's something specific with regard to that graphics card--I have never had this
issue with the GMA X3100, which runs NSMBW perfectly, if a bit slowly.
