Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Load Mario Power Tennis
  2. That's it.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output, is models to retain their shape and proper music. Instead,
vertex of models tend to go nuts. And the music, is just a note here and there.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using r4955 64bits, Windows7 x64.

Also tested an older revision, r4654 to test if disabling Optimize
Quantizer helped as suggested on the forum. It doesn't.

Please provide any additional information below.

well, actually there are even more issues in this game, like flickering shadows and
court markings...
Anyway, you have two different issues packed into one here which is rather
unpractical, I think.
You should also add that this is about the GC version because the Wii version doesn't
even go beyond the intro.

True, I forgot they're called exactly the same. So I too add here, it's Mario Power
Tennis for Gamecube. About two different issues, I don't think it's so unpractical,
I'm mostly just mentioning it. The music issue does indeed seem to be like Issue 1539.

@crash...charter.net: Is not the same issue. This one happens regardless of plugins
(even software plugin was tested), so it's not an OpenGL issue. Actually, I doubt
it's related to the video plugins themselves, since it happens in all of them.

I can confirm all of what you're saying Kross. This game is so close to being
perfect...would be a great title to add to the "Perfect" list!!

the spiky polygons coming out of the character models remind me of glitches which
were produced by "optimize quantizers" in, e.g. RE1

I was actually hoping it would work. >_<
