Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. In plugin configuration, pressing L, and R (mainly L as far as I've
    tested) does not map correctly.
  2. It doesn't seem like pressing the triggers can be calibrated, and L does
    not even change number sensitivity.
  3. Holding the triggers down fully is the only thing that "mostly" works.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

For me right now, the right trigger is stuck at 128, and when I press the
right trigger, the left one moves (perfect sensitivity though) The left
trigger does nothing at all. I've tried changing all of the settings, and
nothing would make the 2 triggers work completely correctly. The best I
could do was make the triggers go down all the way (right to right and left
to left), but no sensitivity in between.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Basically any version. I use all the latest revs. Tried with older versions
and different pad plug-ins to no success with my testing.

Please provide any additional information below.

It works correctly in windows 7 in control panel game controller
calibration. (both triggers, as well as all other buttons, verifying it's
not the adapter itself.

Oh goody, I use a real gamecube pad with a triolinker plus 2, must try this.

Well, no luck on my side, Dolphin seems to have trouble with some of my USB
gamepads.
GCPad and Wiimote plugin seem to use the same architecture but fail to map
the triggers on my real GC Pad, this is not an issue with Njoy by Falcon4ever.

If you manage to resolve this issue though, that would be fantastic.

+1 for the effort, and probably a successful revision for other people, may
just be a problem on my side.

I have that exact same problem (with the GC triggers L and R). I have the 3
in 1 mayflash adapter. They don't register correctly. It doesn't register
anything between holding it down a little or a lot. It seems the L trigger
is more messed up than the right. This would be a great issue to fix for
gamecube games.

Indeed, it could make Mario Sunshine remarkably playable.
The game uses it for the spray nozzle, if you hold it down fully you'll
stop and spray, or you can run and spray.

Interesting thing, you can map either analogue stick to the triggers, and
they will in fact work.
