Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Get 60 Stars (or more) on SMG
  2. Go to the center of the universe
  3. Defeat Bowser
  4. Wait for them to get back to the castle. As soon as mario screams
"Welcome to a new galaxy!", you get a black screen

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I have no idea what should happen, but I'm sure it's not the black
screen...

Also, I'm not attaching a Screenshot of a black screen. I waited for 3
minutes (hope) and nothing happened... The FPS counter kept moving (60~61),
so it was not frozen...

if I remember right, someone in the forum said you have to switch the audio backend
to OpenAL for it to work...not sure though...and still worth an issue of course.

Hmm thanks, gonna try that (but still have to defeat Bowser all over =\ )

I just verified that even OpenAL gives black screen after defeating Bowser. Nothing
shows up, the only key working is HOME.

Try disabling Dual Core mode during the game. :)

OK, found a solution: Turn off HLE sound. When the credits start to roll, you can
turn it back on to hear the music.

Hmm, it didn`t work here.. Disabled HLE Sound and still froze at the black screen...

What settings r u using? DC? Idle Skipping? HLE the IPL? OGL? D3D? RE0 fix? EFB copy?

you have to disable HLE sound from the boot, that's all.
