Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Donwload and launch dolphin Rev 5110 (32 bits), avaible at:
    http://forums.dolphin-emu.com/thread-2332.html
  2. Launch the game trauma center: second opinion

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I cannot move the pointer with my wiimote+nunchunk (without sensor bar),
and so whatever I do.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I'm using Rev 5110 (32 bits), running under windows 2003 (32 bits).
Here's my PC specs: _ motherboard: ASUS P5PL2-E
_ memory: 21 Giga DDR2 (533Mhz)
_ CPU: Intel pentium D 945 (2
3.4Ghz, MMX, SSE, SSE2,
SSE3, EMT64)
_GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 Dual Slot Fansink (512MB
DDR3, 625Mhz

Please provide any additional information below.

Actually, I'm (new at dolphin and) struggling so much to get working my
games (New super mario, trauma center 2, excite truck) at fullspeed. I
don't know what's the matter, cause my PC's specs seems pretty good for
games like new super mario. i would like to write a topic about that but I
don't receive any activation mail and I don't know how to create new thread
at this page:
http://www.dolphin-emu.com/forum/viewforum.php?forum_id=14
So, by the way if someone can help me by PM at dolphin-emu or
forums.dolphin-emu, my user's name is aramir. Thanks

I just tested, and I can move the pointer / cursor with my mouse when I configure the
wiimote statut as emulated. But when I use real wiimote (wich cause no problems in
other games) I can't move it.

You need the sensor bar if you're using a real Wiimote if you want the pointer to work.

Really? I though the sensor bar was useless for this game. The sensorbar just
communicate to the wii your position in space, but the rotation, movements of wiimote
are transmitted by blutooth. So why do I need a sensorbar?
Also as I said before I can play (slowly) at new supermario without sensorbar.
I think the sensorbar is used in "trauma center" only when you use the defibrilator
(that has been reported as an issue already).
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

PS: Sorry for my english.

The sensor bar is needed for detecting where you're pointing the Wiimote and how
close it is to the screen. Tilting and rotating the Wiimote is all done by internal
sensors, which is why NSMB doens't need the sensor bar. (The game doesn't use any
pointing of the Wiimote at the screen.)

Ok thanks, I'll get a sensorbar.

And you're right. Because it's 01:00 AM in france I can't go in city to buy what's
needed to make a sensorbar, so I actually use 2 candles as sensorbar. And It works. ^^.
Happy technology.
