0%
Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.go to configure and enable idle skipping
2. start game(in my case Fire emblem: path of radiance)
3.go back to options and the box for idle skipping will be unchecked
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i have no clue if idle skipping works but just shows as unchecked but my
speed is the same after trying to enable it again so i guess it doesnt work
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
rev 5430 on windows XP SP3
Please provide any additional information below.
intel core duo T2250 1.73GHz
1 GB RAM
Intel GMA 950
side note:
what sort of FPS can i expect with that option enabled?
i get fullspeed in menu, half speed in cutscenes and 20+ in battle
currently.

Have you got a User/Config directory under the Dolpin directory? If so, try clearing
out all of the files in that directory and retrying.

deleted everything in the config folder and then tried again, same thing, idle skipping
keeps getting unchecked. also tried changing the ini files to enable idle skipping but
that doesn't work either.

Are you running in debugger mode (using the /d parameter)? If so, the debugger turns off idle skipping.

the idle skipping unchecks automatically if u have a game config that is set up to run without idle skipping.

- Status changed from New to Won't fix
Yes, there's a bit of a design issue here with Dolphin. If/When the configuration part of Dolphin gets fixed, this issue will also be resolved. The work-around is to check idle skipping in the Game properties (right click the game in the game list). Will close this for now.
