The only problem is when starting the game, first cinematic scene no sound, the video is perfect, and when loading with the game the "RESIDENT EVIL" voice over doesn't play

Same sound issue here with Resident Evil 2.
Tested on r7091

In both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, music seems to have stopped working almost entirely at some point between builds r6666 and r6676. Only one or two note snippets play at random intervals.

Additionally, large portions of the spoken audio in Resident Evil 3 cuts out early or does not play at all.

Builds 5092, 6403, 6598, 6657 and 6666 all play the spoken audio in Resident Evil 3 in a mostly although not totally correct fashion, but do have issues similar to the post r6676 builds when it comes to playing the music in both 2 and 3, although they occur much less frequently (essentially the ratio of slightly bugged music to total silence from the music track is roughly flipped at some point between r6666 and r6676).

Checked with:
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core i5 2500K running at 4.4GHz
Nvidia GTX 460
the DSP LLE recompiler

(and just in case anyone is curious as to why i care about the issue enough to check a dozen or so different builds, this is the only version of Biohazard 3 with perspective correction).

This issue has burdoned Dolphin for quite some time now, I personally think it should be looked at, as the Resident Evil series is one of the more popular games on the gamecube.
Like the guy says above. The gamecube versions are the only versions with perspective correction, which makes them arguebly the best versions you can get.

I am having exactly the same issue with the sound popping. Its not just ambient noise but voices, and zombie moans etc.

Interestingly enough I have looked on youtube and found people running earlier versions of dolphin with playable sound (it's not too intermittent). He is using Dolphin SVN R5092

This guy emulates RE3 and RE2 very well.

The Gamecube version has the best character models and it looks better than my pc version :)

I hope they fix it soon, guess its a lot of people that shared this problem for a while now

I find the best compatibility with r6666. Theres only slight skipping in ambient music. other music seems fine (boss music etc)

Sounds for the most part seems to work pretty well too. The game is at least playable without being too annoying. Still though, it would be highly appreciated by alot of people if someone could look into fixing these issues.

Well, thanks Ashcroft. I played through all of RE2 and now am trying RE3.

One issue I am having though is ingame on RE3 when you read a file with a graphic/photo, the image persists above text as an overlay, stopping you reading the file. Do you know a quick fix, outstanding issue, or shall I create one?

For anyone wanting decent sound I recommend r6666 on this page:
32 bit - http://dolphin-emulator.com/download.html?rev=6666&arch=win32
64 bit - http://dolphin-emulator.com/download.html?rev=48bf5c739dfa577644dfe5e5dca7d8bac5c044d5&arch=win64

I am also having this problem, however i cannot build version r6666 as it seems to want to have been cloned from SVN instead of GIT. Does anyone have a way of building the old SVN, or a patch for the new?

I am also having the exact same issue with the watermark images being above the text and not behind it. I cannot find a solution anywhere.
