Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Conect wii remote via add bluetooth device
2.once added, the 4 buttons keep blinking,
3.open dolphin
4. options>wiimote settings
5. input source>real Wiimote
6. real wiimote section:"connected to 0 real wiimotes"
Pair up button doesn't do anything, Refresh button Freezes things up for a second or 2 but does nothing. AND can't select extended pairup/connect... it unchecks when i select it.

Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem?
I’m running dolphin svn revision 5657

32-bit or 64-bit and any other build parameters?
Running on OSX 10.6.3, imac 24 inch(not this generation, but last) with a 2.93 Intel core 2 duo, 4 gb memory should be 64 bit i think...

I am not quite sure if the Pair Up button does anything useful at the moment.

Instead, try this:

  1. Select real wiimote like you did and save
  2. Quit and restart Dolphin
  3. Press 1+2 so the four LED's blink
  4. Start game

Actually on mac you hit the refresh button to connect wiimotes...very wired.

Yeah, we need to work a little on the UI aspect..

Using the r5650 build posted by Soren in the OS X build wiki page comments.
iMac 27" i7 - OS X 10.6.4

I have tried a variety of methods for connecting the Wiimote, including those posted here, using the Bluetooth control panel, etc., but the overall effect is that I can eventually get it to pair using the 1+2 button and clicking "refresh". It doesn't work every time, but within 3 or 4 tries it does and the wiimote vibrates.

I start SMG, and after the wiimore safety screen is displayed, I get the blue-box error saying wiimote connectivity has been disrupted, press 'A' button, etc. The wiimote still has the Player 1 light indicator on, but no amount of button pushing gets it paired up again.

This may or may not be related:
Opening options>wiimote and selecting any of the wiimote 2-4 tabs for adding additional wiimotes causes dolphin to crash. This is true whether using a real wiimote or emulated.

Try running Dolphin from the command line - ./Dolphin.app/Contents/MacOS/Dolphin - and see if you get any buffer overrun errors.

You can try increasing QUEUE_SIZE in Externals/WiiUseSrc/Src/io_osx.m as a workaround, but it suggests some kind of scheduling problem in Dolphin..

Do you have any non-default settings in the General tab of Dolphin's preferences?

Actions #11

Updated by jhearn almost 14 years ago

Don't think so, but don't remember off hand what default were. Attaching all the prefs that might have changed.

Should be fine now with r6649. Just be sure to refresh the real wiimotes using the wiimote configuration window before starting a game for now.

The same problem with Os X Lion, but nothing to do even using DarwiinRemote or using the trick of 1 and 2 again with Dolphin. Any solution?

I finally got a wiimote to stay connected to dolphin!!

I used an Iogear GBU321 usb Bluetooth adapter (read that it had good compatibility), and an OLD original wiimote (my cousin bought a Wii the first year it came out, and we traded wiimotes). I paired the wiimote with the default windows drivers.
So, far it seems that any nunchuck will work.

In windows it seen as "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01".Check the pics of what is written behind the battery cover, and a picture of the usb bluetooth dongle.

The ONLY other way that keeps other wiimotes connected is if you use glovepie.
Check out the script that I attached.

Win7 x64
8 gb DDR3 Ram
EVGA Nvidia geforce gtX 550TI

I forgot to mention what version of dolphin I use:
Dolphin-x64 v3.0-458 + Dolphin-x32 v3.0-458

Also, I recommend the Duracell sensor bar. (it charges via. USB)
