Do you use DX11, DX9, OpenGL or Software Rendering?
I can't confirm this with DX11. Looks perfect.

I use DX9. These are my plugin settings for DX9:

Vsync
AR: Auto
4x SSAA
EFB Scale: Auto (Fractional)
Enable CPU->EFB Access

Everything on Enhancements is checked.

EFB Copy to Texture.
Use Native Mips.

Haven't tried DX11 yet.

just tried DX11 and OpenGL - same result.

1st: You could've merged the 3 issues you made in a row about the same game into only one... since it seems to be all related...
2st: If these issues aren't known issues, than you could try disabling somethings unsupported by the real h/w in order to try to get precision, since some filters you're using can cause an amount of glitches in Wii games... Try leaving only SCALED EFB COPY on the enhanced tab... and, if you have such a good hardware to run at AAx4, you could try setting the EFB Copy to Ram, instead of texture, since this can fix many bugs in many games, in the cost of a few FPS...

@frango0010: Of course I've tried various configurations, and like I said, the only times I had success were with OpenGL and with DirectX 11 sometimes.

I played around with DX 9 for the longest time and it doesn't seem to be doable. I did EFB Copy to Ram... same issue occurs. I left only SCALED EFB COPY, same issue.

I'd think keeping the glitches separate is better, for organization. I was assuming the glitches aren't related, and if it turns out they're all fixed by one solution, then Google Code has an option for easily marking bugs duplicates, that's not a problem.

On another note, I like the DX 11 plugin, but doesn't have anti-aliasing and has a few bugs with z-indexing (the best I can put it, with my web development knowledge). I didn't want to report that bug because I assumed its known, since the DX11 is heavily under development.

I posted on the wrong issue -- for this particular issue, no plugin works. I was referring to Issue 2827 in Comment 5.

The exact problem appears for me.
Tested with r6036

I see this problem too with OpenGL on Linux x64 2.6.36. Seen in r6553 .

Still getting this on r7081 with OGL on Linux. Tried lots of combinations of graphics settings to no help, including EFB Scaled Copy and EFB Copy to RAM.

  • Status changed from New to Invalid

Needs Virtual XFB to show a picture instead of "green". Needs Real XFB to work properly.

Should probably add Real XFB to the game ini.

Instead of enforcing real xfb, writing it in the emulation issues for anyone interested seems like a better idea. It is a very popular game to enforce everyone to play it at a low resolution for something this minor(a part of a winning screen that is not that important either). I would bet the backlash would be greater than leaving this glitch as is in this case with reports on why SSBB plays at low res. I will probably comment about it next time i make a commit.

Btw is a hybrid XFB mode possible (an xfb mode that will fall back to real xfb only when it is needed)? Just curious.

Nope, there's no hybrid mode.

A comment should suffice, yeah.

Fwiw, IMO default settings should be the ones which make the game emulation as close as possible to real hardware. However, I don't care enough to actually put this out as a general guideline... you're the one doing most of the ini stuff anyway.

My comment might sound odd, but I guess the low resolution thing depends on the hardware. I tested it in the PC I use on the campus lab and no changes were visible.
