Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Running Dolphin
  2. Playing SMG2 for 2 minutes or so

Dolphin version with the problem? rev56xx Other Dolphin version without the
problem? I'm running svn5647 no FIFO issue, it occured few revions after, can't remember exactly when. i read here and there a lot of users are suffering the same thing

Please provide any additional information below.

the new FIFO adjustment option doesn't help it no matter what value i set, tried a lot going from 50 to 1000, still no luck.
Seriously, Devs need to revert the commit that caused the issue.

i have just tried r6030 and the FIFO thing is still there, the only workaround is to set the Frame Limiter to OFF which turns SMG2 like playing Pinball in year 3000

Try adjusting the FIFO Hi watermark tightness in the game properties

@CuentaSpam23

I did that, no value seemed to work. what value do you use?

take a high watermark value and also deactivate "lock threads to core" for this game...the crashes aren't gone but they appear much less often.

lock threads to cores is disabled by default, and as i mentioned before i tried every value out there. The only solution i suggest is reverting back r5692

You can test R6083 please, this should be fixed now :D

Yes, I found out that latest revisions do not suffer the FIFO issue, it's just that the performance in SMG2 is a bit lower. Anyway, +1 for the effort, and keep on the good work.
