- Status changed from New to Invalid
set your controls right
you are playing with the wm by itself which is motion controlled for direction and does not use the dpad
either attach an emulated nunchuk or use gcpad

you obviously did not read my post, everything works fine up to the point where the race start, it would've nice to have the chance to post further info before you closed my issue.
Have you even played the game??

absolutely yes, hey, if you don't need the feedback on the emulator, is fine really, but you instantly shut me before I can further explain the issue.
Have a nice day.

I would post a link to the controls on www.mariokart.com
but i cant link to the exact spot because it uses flash
here is a quote which explains how to control mario kart wii with just a wii remote from http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/02/a-note-about-control-options-in-mario-kart-wii/
Wii Remote Controller (with or without Wii Wheel): Steer by tilting the Wii Remote left and right. Or snap the Wii Remote into the Wii Wheel to transform it into a steering wheel for an intuitive, motion-based control scheme.
