Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Run Dolphin
  2. Execute "Animaniacs: The Great Edgar Hunt"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
At least the game intro, as said in the old compatibility list. Instead it
gives me a warning box:
"PANIC!
Write to invalid memory region (0x7e000000)"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Dolphin r1219
Windows XP SP3

Issue still not fixed as of r2344.

I've found that in older versions of Dolphin (when the emu was still developed in
dolphin-emu.com ) this game ran at 5 FPS, but it wasn't giving this error.
Other thing I've found is that the TLB memory write is in development and not
finished, so that would explain this error message, which explains also why you guys
couldn't come up with a fix all this time, so... I'll wait, and if I see there's
progress I'll tell you guys.

have you tried the TLBHack ?
just add "TLBHack = 1" under the [Core] section of the gameconfig.
It could fix the problem

Yeah, that fixed the problem!! Thank you sooooo much!! I've been waiting to play
this game for months!!

hmmm i want to test the TLBHack = 1 how i must put in this? i dont find a core
section under the game config.
I go to options and than configure there is no core section

Because it's not in the emulator program, it's in a folder.
You have to go to \Dolphin-Win32\User\Config , open the file Dolphin.ini and right
under where it says '[Core]', you write TLBHack = 1 and save this.
Then, you will be able to open Animaniacs and all the games that needed this fix.

The 'TLBHack = 1' (or even 'TLBHack = True') hack does not work for several games
I've tried in Win XP SP3 32-bit using v4771. In some cases, I get "Write to invalid
memory region", in others, I get "iCacheJIT: Reading Opcode from [ff02f724]. Please
report." (Star Wars: Rebel Strike), and then "Zero Op - Error flattening ... ", and a
never ending loop between these two, unless "No" is clicked, and then Dolphin crashes
(Star Wars: Rogue Leader). I would attach a screen with details, but there seems to
be a problem with this site and attachments ("Issue attachment storage quota exceeded.").

Sorry to say I have found out the hard way that its not been fixed.

Its Sunday May 2010 using Dolphin v2 and Dolphin-r5442 I can tell you the error is
still there for Rampage Total Destruction....

Adding TLBHack = 1 Under the [Core] section of the gameconfig to fix the problem,
Right click game, Properties, Edit Config - add TLBHack = 1

Should look Like below

GXNE5D - Rampage: Total Destruction

[Core] Values set here will override the main dolphin settings.
TLBHack = 1

Dose make the game load
