Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Once ingame, select world 1-2 or 7-[firt-castle]
  2. Enter the pipe, wich will leads you underground in world 1-2 and indoor in world 7-[first-castle].
  3. When exiting the pipe in a new room, the FPS drop to 5 and that makes the game unplayable.
  4. Exiting the level (pressing +) will brings the FPS back to almost 60, but you can tell it's not full speed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

  • I expected to get full speed as i used to in older revisions.

Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem?

  • 6298x64 has the problem
  • 6286x64 and older are ok

32-bit or 64-bit and any other build parameters?

  • 64bit

OS version and versions of tools/libraries used?

  • Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

Please provide any additional information below.

  • Thank you very much.

Same problem here (2 FPS, woot?).

Weird :S, I always run this game at 60 fps with HD 5850.

I have the same problem in Starwars: The Force Unleashed (8 FPS).

Can somebody test this game too and confirm?

See if adjusting the "progressive scan" mode affects this.

Please test out r6304. If that does not fix it, the problem is probably in the texture cache (r6288).

still have the same problem. as soon as I enter a pipe. the fps drops to 10fps.

I have a c2d e8400 with a nvidia 9400. runs at 60fps before entering the pipe(any pipe)

Enabling or disabling progressive scan doesn't change anything. Issue still present in revision 6303.

I think revision r6288 introduced some slowdowns for new super mario bros.
