After starting up the emulator, when I go to 'config', after the settings window shows up I click ok, the following error occurs:

But when I don't click 'config' after starting up the program and launch a game, the shown above windows shows again and the emulator hangs.

it seems we will need to display this error if the codepage is not installed
but it would be nice to force it on start
error does not show until the first usage of each SJISConv
including SJISConv.IsOk()
we could use a global SJISConv and call isok immediately after the constructor so the error occurs right on startup ... seems to ugly to me
anyone have a better suggestion / knows wxwidgets better and can find a way to test if the cp is there without causing the error

issue remains untill today even when someone says it's fixed 8but apparently it was only fixed on linux)
Updated by lpfaint99 about 13 years ago
the only way i can guarantee that you will not see this error is to install the sjis codepage
otherwise it is likely that this error will always occur see comment 11
Updated by lpfaint99 about 13 years ago
this only occurs on modified windows builds which have manually removed the codepage using vlite or similar
Updated by gabrielmorano about 13 years ago
yes i remove every languaje i do not use from the system, but it didn't happened to me on older revisions (mmmm let's say the r2000)
Itherway it's not that do major problems, it's just a little bothering to open the emulator and have to create this error in ordeer to accept and play safely ^^'
