What's the problem?

i have 8.5 multipler in core for speed
but only 4 work and that makes the emu slow very slow, i don´t know if the
problem is the emulador, because before never happen

the problem occurs deforms intermittent and is very annoying, please help. btw happy new year 2011, dolphin team :D

Firstly disable Intel Speedstep in the BIOS (consult manufacturer manuals if you don't know how to do this). This should fix the problem although it does not solve the cause. You could also try manually setting the CPU speed or clock multiplier (the 8.5)

If you can determine if the above fixes it I would enable it again then run through some tests with Super PI with it off then one with it on and check results in CPU-Z.

Also try running some older builds of Dolphin as well as the newest builds from http://www.dolphin-emulator.com/download.html as 4779 is nowhere near the current.

This should help narrow down if the problem is system wide or just Dolphin.
