Game works fine. Try making a new folder and extract a fresh copy of Dolphin. Then figure out what's causing this exactly.

Already tried doesnt make any difference. With revisions 4xxx the same iso with the same settings work fine.

Tried it in 6804 and 6800 with DX9 and OGL.

In 4xxx it runs with both plugins in full speed.

I also have heavy slowdowns in newer revesions independent from plugins and settings.

Idk, ran it last night on r6804 x64, DX9, with my Geforce gtx460 and it ran fine - actually perfect with the LLE :).

You're going to have to figure out what setting/revision caused this if you want it addressed (since it is so far isolated to just you). And the settings have changed a lot since the 4xxx series, so it could be one of the newer options causing problems.

So you're saying if you make a new folder, extract a new rev of Dolphin, launch it and then Mario Kart right after, you'll get a black screen after boot? Idk man, you're going to have to put your investigator cap on and figure out what's causing this.

If you don't have the Gamecube controller setup properly the game will stay on black screen...I say so because I thought the game didn't work either, but then I found out that I had disabled the controller...try to check it out.

Controller is setup correctly because it works well in every other gc game and i also checked the settings, every single button is mapped to my xbox 360 controller but thanks for that suggestion

  • Status changed from New to Duplicate

I assume you have tried pressing A on the gamecube controller at the black screen.

The symptoms you have described make it sound like a FIFO issue on your machine (does not occur for everyone). I'll mark this as a duplicate of the FIFO issue.

I tried A, B & Start. Sound also stops working. I have panic handlers on and it creates no exceptioninfo.txt nor it shows any error message it simply stops working.

Its no bad dump because in builds 4xxx it works perfect.

Also as i mentioned before in the new builds (6xxx series) i have heavy slowdowns and stuttering in some wii and gc games (settings and plugin undependent, i got same frames with 1xEFB and no AA as with 3xEFB and 4xSSAA) where the same games run fine with full speed at older builds (4xxx & 5xxx series)
