Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Run the iso with Dual Core Activated (Specially in d3d)
- play for a while (it does not always happens in the same place, sometimes it takes a lot of time for this to happen)
- Also I noticed that activating OpenCL REALLY makes the game to crash
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Problems... in D3D the game will surelly crash at some point, now on OpenGL sometimes it lets you keep playing, but it will crash eventually, If you deactivate dual core the game will work most of the times, but it will freeze time to time at random places, pluss playing it without the dual core setting it's incredibly slow...
This didn't happened to me on previous revisions of dolphin (not the latests ones, but olders)
The picture showing the warnings does not show the all the warnings i get, there are a zillion of them with different numbers
This is VERY noticiable in the "SkyTwon, Elysia" part of the game, in the room where you have to turn into a morph ball and use the phazon bombs in order to continue (this is where you will ALWAYS get this warnings with Dual core active)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Found another warning problem that freezes the emulation
"HLE system tried to call an undefined HLE function 200191"

Try r6974 and see if the two FIFO fixes (that have been committed in r6971 and r6974) fixed this issue.

So far it seems to be working better (at least it didnt hang as ofthen in the same plase), i will do an extense gameplay to keep testing ;)
also for some reason it's working faster Oo

It just keep crashing or closing at me on r7025 sometimes without poping any warning

mmm even with latest changes done around metroid prime, emulation is still VERY unstable...
game keeps randomly freezing, crashing or closing...
fifo problems are still present as when it freezes it does at 0fps 40vps
but now i don't get any single warning message :S
anyway... last one checked is r7036

Here, i made a video in a place that the game ALWAYS crash "ERROR: Trying to compile at 0. LR=8037b5d4"
like i said this one is not random like the others, it happenes every single time in that particular place at Skytown Elysia... ergo the game cannot be played further from that point

Ok will do in about 9 hours (right now i gotta go to work)
But in the latest revision it didn't crashed on that part (but i have a savefile there, so i wil test it anyway)
Also after that part the fifo warnings are unbereable! this games fifo problems are like firecrakers on the th of july :p

Ok, i was testing this part of the game again and all i can say is sometimes it happens, some times it does not happens first time i tried this didn't happened, 2nd time i tried it DID happen (but not in that part (it happened on the previous "room" between quotes because it's open world)
and the third time it happened on the same place (but 5 mins after the emulator gave me some fifo warnings)
like i said, on latest revisions i could overpass this part without getting this error (now im at 47% of the game, and that part is at 27%) but this game crashes SO many times that testing something it's really a god damn job... xD
luck for us savestates makes it a little easier (but loading a save states on this games most of the times get's you some kind of bug where a black window at the upper left will appear showing the same image as in the main window, making the game run SUPER slow)

Here this I got at 52% of the game 3 times in a row at the space pirate first alarm room. (The one in this video)
Also in this video you can see the fifo warnings and the crash i was mentioning it happens A LOT.

Eitherway, after trying to pass this part in a tedious all over try i could overpass this part but then again it's unbereable to do all over and over with every single crash ^^'
gonna keep playing to see if i find anything else

The fifo-messages still do pop up, but no crashes/game failures anymore(or i have been extremely lucky in an area where i would consistently sooner or later either get it to crash or get stuck due to not correctly working weapons)

actually the fifo messages Where pressent b4 without crashing, sometimes it crashes sometimes it does not for the first part of the game (around the 25%), but that got worst after THAT part of the game, that's why i said im gona test it on that part (from there on the game becames almost unplayable with the crashes) i will report tomorrow or the day after (depending on work)

Don't know who set this issue as fixed b4, but the issues are still present for this game. (it was kinda fixed on "the last story", since now it works fine, just time to time you get a fifo freeze)
But on this game as soon as i start playing i get a fifo message (tough i can keep playing, im gonna run more tests)

Actually there wasn't a rev that worked fine with this game... this is an issue that was pressent since it started working on Dolphin
but yes... it got worst at some point.
so... i don't really know if it's just a fifo problem.

gabrielm...@gmail.com, actually, there was such rev, i know exactly when these errors appear constantly, besides i took a random revision r6000, and everythihg worked fine, than i took r7000, still fine but not exactly like on 6000 you know half-fine
One way or another, i will find that rev, and if i can't find the fix, i just move all nessesary changes into r6000, like colour fix, like JitChache fix, like other fixes, and will play on Hybrid r6000

you know, i completed this game for the first time on r2800 or smth and even back than there was no fifo hangs or crashes, and to avoid JIT errors i used unlimited JitChache, so...everythig is possible my friend

Ok let's see
This issue has two parts actually
1 These Fifo Unknown Opcode messages are comes from r7158 - r05feabdb49cf
marcosvitli, it was your commit
2 The flickering problem from cachig Shader data which actually leads to crash or hang
it's somewhere between 6000-6500 will find issue later

More testing;
Game flickering and other FIFO problems started with r6554, game remained unplayable until 6971-6974 fixes, game was flickering with crashes and hangs, but no error messages perhaps they were fixed by between 6554-6971 revs until 7158 when they've appeared again, unfortunately r6554 was big, and i barely can find the part of broken code

If 7158 is easy to fix, But Repeat I cant reproduce this in my PC. I need save game or something like this. I dont have FIFO reset in my PC in the first 10 minutes.

Very Good, I can reproduce the hang with this, give me 1 o 2 day. And give you a fix or the reasons for that. But I think this can be easy :)

actually it depends on some factors i think... (computer, revision, etc)
for example, for me the game played really fine up untill i reached sky tower... from there on the game crashed like there is no tomorrow.
that's why im gona send him my savefile as well (i have 2 saves at the most most crasheable places in the game)

Here is 2:22 am. Instead sleep i am fixing this fu...ing bug. For my is fixed. I dont know id you test the last revision. But if dosent, you must. And give a me feedback and respect!!!! Is not my first time with the FIFO. I've logged this game. I've found a bug. I've fixed this. I've tested the game with the Autoran savegame. So, you must respect my work OK? And if I am wrong. You can help posting the new screenshot of your problem. Thas is nothing "it was reoponed due to the game still crashing and having LOADS of error messages"

Btw I didnt put fixed in this Revision: 9e398fd41802. Was Skid and I told with him abou t this issue was not related. Is Skid was wrong, you can not reacting in this way.

ok ok... lets put something clear, i didn't disrespected you
neither i insulted you nor said you are doing a bad work....
all i said is the issues are still there (al least in the NTSC version)
i tested it with Dolphin-win-x64-v3.0-441
I got the usual problems
then it crashed it...
I said that this errors occurs not always on the same places, (and at the begining of the game it does not happen most of the times, so to say it's fixed it has to be done with a long play (wich im doing, that is why i posted the save file)
Me, as well like other peopple respect what you do
and i didn't reacted in any way, like i said all i mentioned is that it should not be closed until the testings are done, nothing else (probably the confusion was made because of my way to speak, so if you took it the wrong way im sorry)
anyway is 3:22 in here so im off to bed
tomorrow i will run some more testing.

Dolphin-win-x64-v3.0-441 is rb69a1d225a07 which is the master branch and does not include r41652d6b1f39
you need to use the FifoBusy branch to test this change
