Description

What's the problem?

  1. Use a fresh copy of Dolphin x64 (did not test x86) with DX9 plugin
2.1 Start Resident Evil 1 Wii PAL, the game always crashes right after or during the screen "Accessing. Please do not touch the Power button or reset."
    OR
2.2 Start Mario Kart Wii PAL, the game ALMOST always crashes during the screen "Saving. Please do not touch the Power button or Reset." or just before this screen. Sometimes this issue does not happen, but for most of the time it does.
  2. The issue is not present if DX11 is used. I have no idea why the video plugin is connected to this kind of crashes.

Dolphin version with the problem (as it appears in the title bar, Ex.: "R
4779" or "R 6403M"):
Any version after r6851, but this is not the revision that caused the issue, it's just that I haven't tested older versions.

(optional) Dolphin version that does not have the problem:
r6661

Operating system and version:
Windows 7 Ultra
32-bit or 64-bit:
64

Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"):
RE4P08, RMCP01

Build command-line (not on Windows):

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
plain dump

Please provide any additional information below.
It simply crashes, no panic alerts of any sort. Have in mind that I tested other games too and they did not have this problem so I was able to isolate the issue to those 2 games. And they used to boot flawlessly in r6661.

Problem under investigation.

Critical stability issue about DX9 plugin.

Anyway please check better... r6851 has made translation changes.
I don't think that guilty revision is that.
