Description

What's the problem?
Selecting the "DSP LLE recompiler" in the "sound settings", Dolphin hangs at start of every game (usually black screen with 0 fps, 0 vps 0% speed).
"DSP LLE interpreter (slow)" instead still works.

Dolphin version with the problem (as it appears in the title bar, Ex.: "R
4779" or "R 6403M"):
r6970 and later

(optional) Dolphin version that does not have the problem:
r6964 hasn't got this problem (but I couldn't find revisions build from 6965 to 6969 for testing)

Operating system and version:
32-bit or 64-bit:
Windows XP SP3 32-bit - SoundBlaster X-Fi Gamer

Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"):
Every game (GC and Wii)

Build command-line (not on Windows):

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
Plain dump or compressed

Please provide any additional information below.
As I said I couldn't test build from r6965 to r6969, anyway r6964 works perfectly with "DSP LLE recompiler" while r6970 and every later revision is broken...
"DSP LLE interpreter (slow)" works with every revision.

Just tried r7040 and at least with this revision DSP LLE recompiler works (very slow) if you enable "lock DSPLLE on thread" (without it still doesn't work).

I also want to see this working and I also got the dsp files to test it.

In my XP SP3 x86, the games will only run if DSP on thread is checked in for the LLE recompiler but always out of sync.

With the DSound plugin it is too out of sync, Xaudio2 is a bit but still out and with OpenAL it looks worse.

I hadn't this problem with the LLE recompiler when DSP on thread was unmarked (deactivated).

And I forgot to say: r7048

Currently still a problem, but according to skid the game will start once in every 6(?) or so full restarts of dolphin.

Let me clarify a bit. The problem where the game does not boot first go every time applies only to zelda ucode games with dsp on thread and both 32 and 64bit builds.

Issue 4024 is specific for the 32bit LLE JIT recompiler. It does not work at all unless the CPU interpreter is used. I am not sure what the cause is. According to Comment 7 above, enabling DSPLLE on thread might make it start working.

r7123 tested with MKDD and Luigi's Mansion. Both fail to boot with LLE recompiler, dolphin stops responding and it has to be forced to terminate the process.

With dsp on thread both games boot, Luigi works full speed, but speed keeps dropping every few frames.

I am not sure which revision release caused it went back to normal since I get my compilations from the emucr.com site but this issue can now be closed.

All games now boot with r7144 using the LLE recompiler and the DSP on thread option unmarked. r7128 was the last I tested that was still not working.
