What's the problem?
Dolphin keeps on crashing whenever I shoot this door, it's right near the beginning of the game so it makes it impossible to keep on playing the game.

R7251

(optional) Dolphin version that does not have the problem:

Window 7 64-bit

Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"):
G2ME01

Build command-line (not on Windows):

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
Plain Dump from Disc

Please provide any additional information below.

I have tried messing with all the video settings, turning on and off EFB doesn't work and neither does fooling with any other video settings in any combination.

Okay, after a little sleuthing, I have turned off the "Copy" Video setting that can be set to Texture or RAM. However, after doing that, numerous other things like the scan function for the Scan visor stops working.

To be a little more specific on where this error is, it is the door right before you see Dark Samus for the first time and she runs through the rift in Metroid Prime 2.

To update again, I have found out that this is due to a bug in the DirectX9 renderer for Dolphin. I was able to switch to the OpenGL and DirectX11 renders, and get past this point in the game with no problems.

I would like to switch back however (mainly because my computer doesn't support DirectX11 with the graphics card), so if someone could fix this that would be lovely.

first use dx9... set efb to texture, accurate texture cache: fast
and use JitIL recompiler.
after enter to the game, set efb to ram and dischek emulate format changes..

i had many different crashes in metroid games, but none of them were never related on Video backend, are you sure this is DX9, cause "emu crashes when i shoot the door" sounds more likee fifo

DX9 runs perfectly, there's no backend crashing issues in this game
