Description
The software gfx backend got broken when merging the plugins. Since it's a very important reference of the hardware behavior, it should have been fixed ages ago, but no one did. This really needs to be looked into until 3.0.
From what I gathered it shouldn't be too hard to fix it, Billiard probably can be asked about what needs to be done.
Not sure which platforms this affects, but at least Video_Software doesn't get built on Windows.

Not about the issue, but Video Software backend have ever been worked? When they was implemented (about r4xxx or r5xxx) I always got an yellow screen with any game that I've tested. Video Software backend has fixed in r7361 but it's still giving me an yellow screen and sometimes random crashes...
