Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Run Dolphin.
  2. Run Dragon's Lair 3D.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I am expecting to play the game, I can see jumping logo and loading bar -
when it reaches half the way game crashes and I see following message:

"PANIC
Write to invalid memory region (0x7e000004)

This is either the game crashing randomly, or a TLB write.Several games
uses the TLB to map memory. This function is not supported in Dolphin.
Unfortunately there is no way to recover from this error,so Dolphin will
now exit abruptly. Sorry!"

It is always the same memory region (checked 5 times).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Dolphin SVN R 1623
Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 and minor updates.

Marking GameIssue since this doesn't appear to be a general issue...

Is this a regression (i.e. does it work in an older revision)? Does it work if you turn off the "Enable
Dynamic Recompilation" option?

Smells like a TLB game (0x7e). Have you tried TLBHack=1 in the ini?

How old revisions should I check? I tested it on 15xx earlier (don't remember exact
numbers).

I was testing it with "Enable Dynamic Recompilation". Without it it also doesn't work.

Which ini? Where? I know nothing about anything like that :>

hrydgard:
Did you mean the *.ini files under User folder?
If you open the files, (I used Notepad++) they are commented for what game it was.
But can anyone give us a list of the games which the files were titled? It's a pain
to open each file and find the correct game ini.

Also, when I added "TLBHack=1" in the User\Config\Dolphin.ini file, when the game
(Toadstool tour) loads to the point where a TLB error was expected, the game just
froze. Any ideas? Older versions behaved the same way.

PS: Where is the ""Enable Dynamic Recompilation"?

Thanks a bunch.
