Emulator Issues #4305
closedArc Rise Fantasia - cutscenes out of sync
0%
Description
What's the problem?
Cutscenes in Arc Rise Fantasia begin perfectly synced but, as time passes during the cutscene, lose their sync. Sound arrives before video.
It seems it happens when I've a small loss of fps during the cutscene (from 30fps to 25fps, but every setting led me to the same numbers, except with Enable audio throttle on, but it then gets really too fast).
I tried many different configurations (changes of options, playing resolution, and so on), I tried on Dolphin versions which seemed to work for other users, but to no avail.
Dolphin version with the problem :
r7124
Operating system and version:
Windows Seven 64-bit
Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
ISO.

That's true, but with an SSE enhanced Dolphin build (for me was SSE4.1 on e8400) the cutsenes are no more out of sync.

I tried one from Lectrode, but it seemed it didn't work. I'll try again and see what are the results. Thanks!

Well, I installed another SSE built (SSE4.1 SVN Revision 7120 from Xtreme2damax), and still out of sync. I must confess I'm not really eager to spend two or three hours to check different configurations. Anyone has a working configuration and/or specific Dolphin built for me ?
I'm also on e8400, so I think it should work. Graphic card : Nvidia GTX 460, I play in 1920x1080.

The only changes that I made from the default settings was using copy to texture, set the framelimiter to off and use only the audio throttle.

Has this been fixed yet or anyone know a good config? This is definitely an issue for me too.

I thought this was fixed long ago.

Something skidau did with progressive scan in r6297 fixed the timing, so I'm assuming progressive is either not working (currently an issue posted its not working in DX11), you don't have it enabled, or there was a regression somewhere.

actually i think this is the oldest "issue" dolphin have... wich is the right timing with HLE sync
a lot of games have this problem (such as no more heroes 2, fatal frame 4, house of the dead overkill, etc...)
but if you try those in LLE then they work the right way
so what needs to be "fixed" is the HLE sync
