you must chek off the "accurate texture cache" to remove this issue
Updated by fernandocarvalhocoelho over 13 years ago
It worked, but the game became too slow. It is impossible to play in that
speed.
Updated by mickamartel over 13 years ago
the game is limited at 30 fps (sorry for my english)
Updated by tez759 over 13 years ago
Try switching off "Idle Skipping". I've noticed some games which are limited to 30fps have problems with Idle skipping turned on.
Updated by hatarumoroboshi over 13 years ago
From your original photo you already got only 55% speed, so with or without Accurate texture cache your PC seems not to be able to emulate the game at a decent speed.
Updated by fernandocarvalhocoelho over 13 years ago
My PC is a Phenon X4 at 2.4GHz and with a Nvidia 8600 GT on Ubuntu 10.10.
I'm able to play Legend of Zelda WW on at 90% of the real speed and I think
that it is enough for a good gameplay.
Maybe with some multi-core/OpenCL optimizations I should be able get some
speed.

Dolphin like high frequency (~3GHz or higher) or instructions like AVX of Sandy Bridges (my i7 2630QM works fine :) )
Updated by peppyhare604 over 13 years ago
I just tested this in r7473 and it is actually a valid problem. If you use OpenGL then whether you enable Accurate Texture Cache at any setting or not, it does not fix the issue.
However if you use D3D9 or D3D11 then it is fine. So for fernando and the rest of the non-windows users, this issue can't be fixed except by a developer.

Just tested this on r7595, the issue remains, all hacks removed from OGL config, tried with Pixel lightning enhancement too, shame, because everything else seems very good:)
Updated by fernandocarvalhocoelho over 13 years ago
The problem stills happening.
System: Ubuntu 11.04 - 64bit - Nvidia driver version: 270.41.06
More details on the attachment.
Updated by fernandocarvalhocoelho over 13 years ago
This problem is still happening in all platforms, when OpenGL is set to be the default rendering engine.
See the attachment for more details.

Same problem here... Tested in all version... (Windows 7 x64)
But r7719M working good but with green effect!
Please try to fix it.
thanks

Did you try with all video backends? If not, try again with D3D9/11 and OpenGl.
Updated by Rileyb80 about 13 years ago
To get rid of the white you change EFB copies in Hacks to Virtual rather than Ram and it seems to fix some of the issues, but I cant work out how to remove the horrible green stuff.
Updated by peppyhare604 about 13 years ago
@Riley: What video backend were you using?
I just built latest and with OpenGL I can't remove the white circle by changing EFB to any of it's settings.

Is this issue still present in Dolphin 3.5 or later?
If so, please provide a game save with instructions on how to reproduce this.
Updated by david.lewetz over 11 years ago
yes it is :)
I am on debian wheezy with kernel 3.6 and gnome-shell 3.4
My dolphin is freshly compiled with version 3.5-423
No matter what settings I use, the white circle is not removeable.
I am not sure, if its enough to reproduce, but I added a fresh savegame. For me its enough to load the second slot and enter the current "river belle path" with my Jodli-character.
Also dolphin crashes after I destroy the second enemy (because of the spell-ball-item he drops, I guess) - but thats another issue I havent dug into :)
Updated by ilanakatz2000 over 11 years ago
The only way I got rid of it was to play the Crystal Chronicles on windows (with bootcamp since I have a mac).
I'm pretty sure the file type was .gcm instead of .iso (.iso had issues for some reason)
I used direct3D for the graphics setting.
hope that helped!! I had the white circle issue too and I almost gave up. -_-''
I think it's the direct 3D that made it go away for me in the end..
Updated by Billiard26 over 11 years ago
@ pw3
I'm seeing no "Jodli-character".
Slot 2 is empty. Slot 1 has a save with no characters.
And "enter the current 'river belle path'" is not clear. How?

Tell us how to attempt to reproduce this if you want it to be fixed.
Updated by AlexKornitzer over 11 years ago
Hey Billiard26,
I get this issue by simply firing up crystal chronicles in dolphin on mac, what information do you need to help reproduce it?
Alex
Updated by fernandocarvalhocoelho over 11 years ago
This problem is related to OpenGL only.
In order to reproduce this is issue, is just a matter of playing the game for 10 minutes and entering a field where you can battle.
Please, if you have access to this ROM, start a new game, watch the intro and enter a field where you are able to battle and you should be able to see this isse, when running in OpenGL mode.
DirectX doesn't have this issue.
So in my opinion it is very important to fix as many OpenGL issues as possible, so people from all the others platforms can play and take advantage from Dolphin's great emulation capabilities.

Does this still happen with the GLSL-master merge?
Updated by AlexKornitzer over 11 years ago
Well I just tried it with build 3.5-1068 and still have the problem, that has the merge in it yes?
Updated by chuuey over 11 years ago
Damn this issue still occurs with 3.5 1155 :( However, the fur rendered in OpenGL looks really good compared to DirectX :) Hopefully someone can fix this white bug!
Updated by NeoBrainX over 11 years ago
Please provide a 3-frame fifo log showing the issue.

Also, take a screenshot of the recorded scene. Upload both to a 3rd party hosting service (NOT googlecode). Ideally, also provide a screenshot of the expected output.

OK here's the screenshots:

And this is DX11, the way it should look, however the fur on the moogle is wrong with DX11 :p

OK this is finally fixed with rev. 1653, one of the new OpenGL changes fixed it!

Updated by hvpatel92 almost 11 years ago
Even following this change, I am trying to run FFCC using Dolphin on my Mac and I am running into the same white circle issue using OpenGL.
I have tried the most up to date changes to Dolphin and the issue persists.
Have there been any changes that remove this problem for Mac that I am missing? Or is there any way to fix it?
Updated by JMC4789 almost 11 years ago
Make sure "Ignore Format Changes" is unchecked in the hacks menu of the graphics plugin.
Updated by pauldacheez almost 11 years ago
It's likely that your GPU (or OS X's crappy GL drivers) doesn't even support format changes. The Intel HD 3000 certainly doesn't, considering the log messages I get.
Updated by degasus almost 11 years ago
Emulate format changes requires at least glsl130, so every supported gpu also support this. The check was removed on the glsl120 aka ironlake drop.
Only zcomploc isn't supported without ogl4.2.

I fixed this issue in Windows 7 64bit by rightcklicking and selecting Properties on the game entry in Dolphin. Then make sure "idle frame skipping" is disabled. Have some occassional choppy audio, but at least the white field is gone.
