Description

What's the problem?

When you set one (1) Joystick as emulated Wiimote, everything works perfect.
By setting two (2) joysticks as emulated Wiimotes, everything works fine as well.
By setting three (3) joysticks as emulated Wiimotes, the game detects the three of them but only one works properly: the number 1.
When you set four (4) joysticks as emulated Wiimotes, the game does not detect anyone.

Dolphin version with the problem (as it appears in the title bar, Ex.: "R
4779" or "R 6403M"):

I tested lots of versions from r7400.

(optional) Dolphin version that does not have the problem:

According to my tests, many of r7300 related-versions do not have any problem. Neither do former versions.

Operating system and version:
32-bit or 64-bit:

Both of them.

Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"):

RMC01, SNJE69, Others.

Build command-line (not on Windows):

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?

Dump.

Please provide any additional information below.

All the tests have been executed on Windows XP and also on Windows 7.

For me this issue is fixed with 7571.

So have you actually solved this? Any of the 2 of you?
Cause I'm still having it.

I have pretty much done what bocon did, win7 64 and I am currently running the version 7571 suggested by manu2, that DOESN'T work. I'm trying with New Super Mario Bros since it supports up to 4 controllers.
I might add that this bug doesn't lmit itself to the controllers but it also applies to keybord bindings too.

Any response would be hot.

Hello :)

then, for me this issue (on the top of the page) is really closed.
i had tested with 4 saitek joypads & Mario kart wii - pal (Win7 x64)

Wii - Mario Kart Wii (pal) - 4Players :

  • 4 joypad => all works & good assignation.
  • 2 wiimotes + 2 joypad => all works & good assignation.

if "real wiimote" is selected in your config => GC pad logo is assigned
if " emulated wiimote is selected => Classic pad logo is assigned

Wii - Tatsunoko & Bleach versus crusade (2Players)

  • two joypad versus works

PS: fix started with 7568, refixed in 7571 & always works with 7577.

personally, I use joypad only for this 3 wii game (I have wiimotes) & I hadn't test others games.

BUT !!!!
You right, I tested quickly and for games which don't have "Classic" input natively (like New Super Mario) apparently, player 2,3 & 4 don't respond

For me in New super mario (x64 - 7577) When I tested with :

  1. 4 joypads (4 real wiimote selected) => no input.
  2. 4 joypads (4 emulated wiimote selected) => input just for player 1.

I will test again with more time (perhaps a bad joypad config).

in brief, issue 4436 is really closed, but I think you may be find an another bug ;)

excuse me for my approximate english ^^'

I have 4 logitech gamepads. When I try to use them as emulated wiimotes, I cant get more than 3 of them at a time activated. They all work seperately, but I cant activate them all at once. There is indeed some bug that is preventing 4 emulated wii motes from running at same time.

Games like mario kart wii and mario sports mix can't be played with 4 players because of this.

I just tested the latest revision (7687) and its still the same thing.

All the latest dolphin builds have this bug. Having 4 emulated wiimotes stopped working together correctly, after the option to disable the wiimote speaker was taken away with r7272.

I think this issue could be fixed, by adding an option to completely (globally) disable the wiimote speaker. Disabling the wiimote speaker in the ingame options doesn't seem to completely disable the wiimote speaker. And I think the wiimote speaker is the root of this problem.

According to the post below, 4 wiimotes stopped working in r7394.
