Description
What's the problem?
Using the OpenGL plugin, in the intro of FINAL FANTASY Crystal Chronicles (GC) the background sorrounding is no more shown correctly...in fact you see the scene as if were late morning with some sort of shining sun (although the visible clouds), instead of an early morning with clouds and that particular "blue-fog".
Dolphin version with the problem (as it appears in the title bar, Ex.: "R
4779" or "R 6403M"):
r6627 (and later)
(optional) Dolphin version that does not have the problem:
r6626 (and before)
Operating system and version:
32-bit or 64-bit:
WINDOWS XP SP3 32bit, hd4850
Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"):
GCCE01
Build command-line (not on Windows):
Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
Please provide any additional information below.
Changes introduced with r6627 "broke" the OpenGL plugin.
This is an OpenGL only problem, because Dx9 plugin shows correctly the intro.
To save site-space I link the correct GC bahaviour (almost the same of DX9 plugin) and attach a foto of the OpenGL bahaviour starting from r6627.

Does it work fine with DX9 even if format changes are ignored?
Updated by hatarumoroboshi over 13 years ago
Yes, in DX9 it works fine whether "Ignore format changes" is activated or deactivated.
Updated by hatarumoroboshi over 13 years ago
Yes, anyway in this case disable fog doesn't affect anything.

This game have lots of minor issues with OpenGL.
It affects all systems. I've tried Ubuntu Linux 32 and 64 bit and Windows 7 32 and 64 bit. When OpenGL is the renderer engine.

Just for reference:
r9ebf507a555ae597b57f513423fce81ae83346ce caused the issue.
Reverting the change to SetColorMask fixes the issue.
No idea why.

@neobrain, degasus: Any chance we might need to clear alpha even if the EFB is not supposed to contain any?
Updated by NeoBrainX over 11 years ago
Is this still an issue if you uncheck "Ignore Format Changes"?
If the issue persists, please provide a 3-frame fifo log showing the issue.
Updated by NeoBrainX over 11 years ago
@delroth: Note that we already set the alpha component to 1.0f in ClearScreen if the EFB format doesn't contain any alpha component bits.

I watched the video side by side with OpenGL running on 4.0-235 and failed to notice any differences.
Can anyone confirm that this isn't fixed?
Updated by JMC4789 about 11 years ago
Okay, I misinterpretted what the problem was due to the fact there is no comparison shot. After full screening, upping the Internal Resolution and using my good monitor, I noticed the color shift. It does still exist.

This bug also happens in D3D11, apparently. Very subtle problem. Unable to reproduce the other visual glitches in the original report.

Can we get a new bug report for this issue? At this stage, this issue report seems fairly useless given that none of the original issues are happening anymore and the subtle (still existing) issue isn't well documented.

The almighty lord delroth himself has spoken: http://i.imgur.com/tU57dZu.png
Btw, Would still be cool if we had an issue report about that "subtle issue".
Updated by delroth about 11 years ago
Fixed by enabling format changes ("Ignore Format Changes" unchecked).

kosta: Can you add format change emulation for this game to the inis?
Updated by NeoBrainX about 11 years ago
Nevermind, it's already in the ini. Blame delroth :p
Updated by kostamarino about 11 years ago
