Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Launch the game and skip the intro video.
2.Also, if I get through the menu and start a new game it plays a cut scene (pre-rendered)then gives a black screen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The expected output is the game rather than a black screen...

Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem?

Every version I've tryed has the problem (7599 being the newest)

32-bit or 64-bit and any other build parameters?

64 bit

OS version and versions of tools/libraries used?

Windows 7
Problem occurs with OpenGL, DirectX 11 and 9

Please provide any additional information below.

Ya so basically if I launch the game it shows the wii remote strap screen, then shows an intro video. If I let the video play it goes to the menu, if I skip it it fades to black and stays black. After I get to the menu if I start a new game it plays a cutscene, shows a loading screen for a second or two, then goes black.

If it is just a problem with the game (not my settings) does anyone know if the PAL version works properly?

Oh and I have a GTX 560ti and an AMD Phenom II X4 at 3.8GHz

Oh, and by the way. The audio plays (at least music) after the intro video so it appears the game hasn't acctually crashed all the way. And it's running at 95-100% speed.

Ok, I just turned "enable dual core" off and it works fine! But now I'm only getting about 70% game speed. Any ideas how to make it work with dual core on? I really want to play this game ):

  • Category set to gfx

It used to be stable in previous revisions. This looks like a FIFO de-synchronization issue to me (especially judging by godisgovernment's comment and marcosvitali's reply to it for r7107).

You might want to try r6791 or r6886 for this game.

If what I am saying is correct, then this issue may possibly get merged into issue 3694, as with the other "FIFO" issues...

(I own the PAL version of this game.)

Alright thanks, I'll try r6791 and r6886.
I also tryed playing The Order of the Phoenix PAL version and had the exact same issues.

The audio also doesnt work unless using LLE and they both have lighting glitches when not played at native resolution. I guess theres just an issue with the Harry Potter game engine and dolphin.

Anyways, I'll let you know if the those versions of dolphin work.
