What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start mp2 and call the map z button
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

All started with 52fps in map screen than after r2662 when Distatation
Alpha was broken than restored and added Disable Distanation Alpha option
fps falls to 38, fps could be restored by reverting the second part of
changes of VertexManager.cpp in r2662
The second slowdown happend in r2870 fps fall from 38 to25-26 in the map
screen and about -3-6fps overall
The last slowdown happend in r3397 from 26 to 14 fps but i've port this
commit to 2661 and evrything was just fine, non a single fps drop, it
seems r3397 commite accelerate one of the previous bugs
This is an old info from Issue 1043 *i don't know why it was marked as fixed, cause map in Metroid games still is slow like hyrule field in ZTP without the hack

I have a similar problem, Metroid Prime became slow as hell.
I have 20-30% less speed and it goes down to unplayable 5 fps
where it was at constant 32 fps before. But the problem appeared
between r6000-r6500 but I was never able to find the exact build...

This is still a problem in Dolphin 3.0-187 on OS X.

tested this shit a bit more
It seems this issue is only OGL problem, cause DX9 has the same speed now as OGL before r2662

Map on x32 builds is somehow about 10-15% faster than x64 one, maybe i could find Jit or more specific difference

The map is incredibly faster now on GLSL-master
