Description

Game name:
So far, only Wii games seem to affect this. I've tried Sonic Colors (SNCE8P), Sonic and the Black Knight (RENE8P), Sonic Unleashed (RSVE8P), and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (GSNE8P). Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is the only GameCube game and, coincidentally, the only game that had absolutely no problems.

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect my recorded TAS files to play properly when I load them by pressing "Play Recording". Instead, I see the game loading up, then crashing either right before or during the Wii's initial Health and Safety screen.

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.

I've never known a version of Dolphin that could successfully play a .dtm from a Wii game.

4) What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Select a Wii game
  2. Go to Emulation > Start Recording.
  3. Make your .dtm file
  4. Try to load it
  1. What version of dolphin are you using?
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
    graphics problems, for example.

I am using Dolphin 3.0 64-bit.

My system specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.6Ghz
Nvidia GTS 450 (driver version 280.26, which is the most recent)

6) Please provide any additional information below.
I used the exact same settings when recording all of the Wii and GameCube TAS videos. I had dual core OFF, idle skipping OFF, frame dumping OFF, and audio dumping OFF. I also tried turning Read-only mode on/off before making the recordings. It always produces the same effect. I use a GameCube controller for the Wii games, except for Sonic and the Black Knight. I use a Wiimote on that one, but the same problem happens.

  1. Attachments.

I don't think a picture would help much. I guess I'll include some anyway.

Woops. I probably should've included a picture of the hacks that I'm using. I suppose that could be helpful.

I can confirm that this happens with r7461, TASing Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Super Smash Bros Brawl, both NTSC.

Interestingly, while Dragon Ball Z shows the Strap screen and then crashes the emu, Brawl just ignores the replay file AND real-time input!
