Description

  1. Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
    "RSBE01", etc):
    Tales of graces - STGJAF

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When I finish the game (after killing the last boss and seeing some scenes) the game always crashes and I can't see the credits and continue it.

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
I've tested since I started to play this game with dolphin (r6500 aprox.), now I've tested with latest Git revision (http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/detail?r=5ea2b1b519f02bd485a5c24a1db1145c48982be5) and the problem is still there.

4) What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. You have to reach the end of the game, kill last boss and see some scenes
  2. When credits are supposed to appear, game crashes (dolphin hangs up and it no longer responds).

5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar: "R 4779", "R 6403M", "3.0", etc)?
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.
I'm using latest Git revision (http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/detail?r=5ea2b1b519f02bd485a5c24a1db1145c48982be5), x64 version (Windows 7 x64), Ati Radeon HD 5670, AMD Athlon 2 x4 620 processor.

6) Please provide any additional information below.
This is the following message that appears when the game crashes: http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo267/SxcAAk/25515.jpg
I think that this is the same problem that I've seen in the dolphin forum (http://forums.dolphin-emulator.com/printthread.php?tid=5600&page=30), they tested with a special compiled version (with an Intel compiler) and it seemed to work, but on my pc (with an AMD processor), that compiled version don't work.

I've tested with Direct3d 11 and the game continues (before I tested it with direct3d 9), an anime video scene is displayed but after this the screen remains black and nothing happens... I think that this issue is related to http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=2933&q=tales%20of%20graces

Well finally, after lots of tests I made it to get past those videos (there are 3 videos, one after another).
I tested with the JitCache.cpp that was posted in the http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=2933&q=tales%20of%20graces post, with that I got past the first video, but in the following dolphin crushed, so I tried with lower values and the issue was gone:
MAX_NUM_BLOCKS = 12886;
With this, the message "Clearing cache code" was displayed lots of times, but this allowed to play the videos slowly (you can skip them :)), after that I could save the game, finally!
I tested all this stuff with the Direct3d 9 video plugin (with the default config)

The Jit cache might be caching outdated code. Try changing JitCache.cpp back to how it was and tick "Enable MMU" in the game properties.

I tried as you said (changing JitCache.cpp back to how it was and tick "Enable MMU" in the game) and the first video can be seen now (really slowly) but after that video I get a black screen (everything freezes, FPS = 0, buuu). There are 3 videos that are displayed one after another, and only 1 can be displayed with this config.
Do you have another config for me to test?

I'm currently playing this game (for 2nd time) with MAX_NUM_BLOCKS = 102486; and I can see all the anime cut scenes

Please test the ending with the latest version r1387da790062 and let us know if it has been fixed.

I tested it again with r1387da790062 and with the latest version (3d2a2abb49df3ae11a821c61e422f211be782f3e) and the anime cut scenes can't be seen (sometimes I get a crash and sometimes they are skipped automatically), I can only see them if I change the MAX_NUM_BLOCKS, but I get a lot of "Clear code cache", which make the game slower (but I can see the scenes and skip them)

carlos, would you please check if the ending crash continues to occur with 3.0-634?

I've tested the ending crash and this time it happened with the second video (the first one worked perfectly), this is a great advance as before none of the three videos could be watched :), but it is still crashing (I only saw a black screen and nothing more happened)

Could you upload a save just before the final boss?
