Description

1) Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
"RSBE01", etc):

Metroid Other M
R3OE01

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Game crashes toward end of second cut-scene (i.e. post training).

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.

Other revisions allow getting into game play, but I'm unclear on specific revisions

4) What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Play through training
  2. Watch second cut-scene
  3. Crash occurs at end

5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar: "R 4779", "R 6403M", "3.0", etc)?
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.

3.0-191
Windows 7 x64

6) Please provide any additional information below.

I've tried all three graphics back-ends: DX11, DX9, OpenGL; same crash seen with each.

I didn't understand exactly where you have the crash (btw did you receive an error message?), anyway I've just tried with r3.0-191 32bit (Revision dd551814c9c1) and on my system (Windows XP 32-bit) I can get perfectly into gameplay after the training and the second movie.

I confirm various crashes during cut scenes on the beginning on the game. Behavior is quite random. Sometimes video gets scrambled, sometimes sound, sometime none but it still crashes and sometimes it goes fine. Resuming from savestates and trying several times allows to go through.

Also, crash does not appear random, it happens in the same spot with the exact same behavior each time.

You use the default video settings?

Actions #5

Yes, the defaults as set in Mamario's build.

Game crashes toward of the second cut-scene. Samus's face is shown, to top half of which becomes corrupted and smears up the screen.

I got the same bug at the same place. If I'm not wrong it's at the end of the video. The sequence does not finish there but after you see Samus face, it's back to some in-game 3D cinematic. You see the ship landing in the space station then the game starts.
So maybe the problem is about video ending, or resuming 3D mode.

Must be a 64bit, WIndows 7 or graphic card (do you have Nvidia?) problem, because as I said I don't have this problem on my system (WinXP 32-bit, Ati 4850)

krazubu and kolano, has the game ever worked for you? If not, what is the MD5 of your ISO image?

Yeah, beside this everything works fine and is stable.

Still there in build 199 but it resumed itself after 10 or 15s here's a pic of corrupt picture. I confirm it's on video ending.

I'm on an ATI 5870.

I just noticed that all the following cutscenes are skipped during gameplay.

Can't reproduce this one. The scene and game works fine here.
