Emulator Issues #508
closedFPS down
0%
Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Open DolphinWX
- Run any game
- Play some time (~20-30 minutes)
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
FPS down after some playing time, why? For example, I started Super Smash
Bro Melee, run any map. At start I have 25-27 FPS, after 20 minutes -
only 11-13 :(
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
DolphinWX r1997 Dual Core Mode, Windows XP SP3, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual
Core Processor 4600+, 2Gb RAM, GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
P.S. Sorry that I write many messages, because in my hostel I have some
problems with Internet

You should do more serious testing.
Leave a game on for 30 minutes and do not touch it, if there still is slowdown and
it's not psychosomatic, prove that something is wrong by profiling Dolphin the entire
time.

I've played for an hour and no problem with slowdowns With R1997 too and with R2001
Are you cooling your CPU? :)

Hm... I play in Super Smash Bro Melee any map, but at the end FPS really down. Maybe
I have few memory (2Gb)?

This is the same as Issue 427. It's because of the disabled blocklinking. The only way you can fix this is to
compile your own Dolphin and enable blocklinking yourself.

I believe it should be added to the UI, see issue 483.
