Description

DX9 has a halo and an overall blur compared to DX11. (With both EFB to texture and to RAM.)

The main character and other objects have a right-shifted halo with DX9 that doesn't exist with DX11. The halo is most visible for light colors such as those from Link's collar and shield and sheath in the pictures but it's present for all colors, dark colors produce a faint dark halo.

Don't confuse the halo with the double vision effect that is present with both DX9 and DX11. For example the mushroom with DX11 is made up of two distinct images (double vision); the base image and a right-shifted transparent image while DX9 has the same two images and an additional halo.

DX9 is around 30% faster than DX11 so it would be beneficial if the halo could be removed from DX9 with unaffected performance.

Dolphin version: 3.0-279
Graphics settings: Aren't relevant since I couldn't find any setting that changed the halo.
Graphics card: Radeon 6870

To get rid of the halo in Dx9 you have to use Anti-Aliasing at 9x SSAA

But then it creates some "shadow glitches"

Thanks for the heads up!, 9x AA greatly reduce the halo, I've added an additional screenshot to show that. It doesn't remove it completely but just that it affects it should make it possible to locate the halo source and fix it!
