Emulator Issues #5219
closedPairing not working anymore in OSX 10.7.3

Description
I can't pair wiimotes anymore. The only thing that I think about that could explain this is that I updated to the recently released 10.7.3.
I'm trying with 2 wiimotes, one old classic and one recent with integrated wiimotion+.
The wiimote prefs do detect them fine and show "2 connected" but they won't vibrate when found as usual, and they just keep blinking. On game launching, it's just like there was no wiimote.
For some odd reason, it worked the 1st time I launched Dolphin, then I closed and updated, and it was over. I went back to the previous version to ensure it wasn't a regression, and also cleared dolphin /Library/ folder, no change.

Their is bug randomly to disable Wiimote from Dolphin but still connect to PC via bluetooth (I connect 2 Wiimote with Plus Motion).
To solve it:
- I must go to Wiimote from menu then click Refresh button.
- Then go to Tools>>Connect Wiimote 1 (2 or 4 Times).
- Then go to Tools>>Connect Wiimote 2 (2 or 4 Times).
Note:
- Then short-key "ALT+F5" & "ALT+F6" not working usually or after I click on Refresh button.
- I'm using Dolphin MotionPlus Git v3.0.r410 (64-Bit)

Try click on Wiimote from menu then select Wiimote 1>>Real Wiimote (also Select Wiimote 2>>Real Wiimote) then click Refresh button (some time click more than one click until all wiimote vibrate) then click on OK button then click from menu Tools>>Connect Wiimote 1 (2 times or 4 times) >>> should wiimote 1 work, do same for wiimote 2.

@Mored1984
I already played with all of those, nothing.
@skidau
it's not quite the same as 5222. This one looks related to some regression in build 415, mine doesn't. Using old version doesn't help, it more looks to be related to the OS version.

@krazubu: Which Wiimote do you have ? The original from Nintendo ? I have a 3rd party Wiimote which does not work with current Dolphin 3.0 v410 but the original Wiimote works since there were some changes in the code...
What worked for me: Try to delete in System Prefs the Wiimote from the Bluetooth Preferences. Now that the Wiimote is deleted try to open Dolphin again and try to connect within Dolphin to your Wiimote...sounds silly but this worked then. You could also look at your system.log file in /var/log/system.log (open Console.app in your Utilities folder then search for Dolphin in Console.app to get some output) and paste it here if you like...

Celgil, both are Nintendo wiimotes. I already deleted the wiimote from prefs too. I checked the Logs, nothing suspect there.

I am having the same issue ... I am on 10.6.8 and cannot get the Wiimote to sync properly. I am able to get the program to show that it is connected to 1 real wiimote but all the lights flash on the wiimote and it does not function ... I am able to get the wiimote to sync using DarwinRemote however .

I was able to get this issue partially solved by updating the program ... I am now able to use the wiimote; HOWEVER after updating the program I am not able to use the remote for the gamecube ! I have a separate controller that I setup to use with the program and it worked flawlessy before but now I cannot get it to work with any game .. When I go into the setting to see if it is configured I can see the settings are correct and that the controller is responding with the program but when I try to use it with the game it does not respond ? Any thoughts ?

Updating to latest one doesn't help, however, I reverted to build 408 and it works again, so let me correct, it's not related to my OSX update, but directly to Dolphin.

I downloaded older releases from the archives, and I found that the last build that works is 3.0-415. Wiimotes stop connecting correctly (Dolphin shows "# connected" but wiimotes keep blinking) from 3.0-418 onwards.

I've got Nintendo Wiimote and it works on 3.0-415 and not on all the new update versions (3.0-415 to 3.0-458) I'm on Mac OSX 10.6.8 and use Dolphin since 2years, never had connecting problems in the old versions

@celgil, thanks for your suggestion to delete the Wiimote from system preferences, that got it working for me (and reverting to 3.0-415).

I have built Dolphin from source (master/1587cb3738ee7bcf156a4a1257a67730cc7ee9c3) on Lion 10.7.3 and I have two -TR wiimotes.
One of them successfully syncs and I've been able to use it without disruption. However, trying to pair the other one results in a segfault.
BTW... Thanks for getting the pairing of a single -TR wiimote to work. :) This is my first install of Dolphin and first ever play of Wii games.

Sorry to rekindle an old problem, however;
I am having issues with my wiimote syncing to my pc hopefully someone can help.
I have:
I am not running OSX, I have Windows 7.
Monoprice USB Bluetooth v4.0 mini adapter (Windows Drivers)
Wireless Sensor Bar
Built in Wii motion plus Nintendo Controller with Nunchuk
I started with the newest version of Dolphin 3.5-367 and tried syncing my wiimote with no luck. As described earlier on this thread Drivers install quickly and apparently correctly when I click "pair up". Windows identifies it as the Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-TR game controller but then the controller sits with all 4 blinking blue lights on and never completes the sync process.
I Have since tried older versions of Dolphin, down to 3.0-413 with the same exact result.
In comment #5 celgil described deleting the device from system preferences and trying again. I think I did this properly. Could someone describe this process in depth? maybe I'm doing it wrong.
If anybody has any suggestions, please help. Thanks!

clintond, your issue has no relation to this issue, and this is not a support forum. The support forum's over there. -> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/

Also, yours is a ridiculously common issue, you just need to use the Toshiba Bluetooth stack instead of Windows's built-in stack.
