Some of the HUD elements are misaglined. The yes/no diamonds and the forging lines are offset. This issue has gotten better but is still present in 549. Present in all 3 backends.

There is a messed up overlay effect in the last two screens before the boss Rajin. She is the plus-sized thunder goddess. Kisuke fights her in Ise. Present in all 3 backends.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/201/rsfe7u19.jpg/ -
There are numerous graphicial issues that are present in all 3 backends. They include; vertical lines, horizontal lines, diagonal lines, discolored shapes, and more. The first pic also looks like it might be related to
http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=3925&q=muramasa
I have found that at lower internal resolutions the lines are not as noticeable but tend to flicker. At higher internal resolutions the lines are more noticeable but don't flicker.

The DX11 backend flickers like crazy at the main menus and the loading menus. Maybe other places as well.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/860/rsfe1.jpg -
The game has a big drop in performance when the load/save screen is displayed. This doesn't go below 60 fps on my newer system but did on an older one. I disabled the frame limiter and vsync and standing on the save/load point I was around 150 fps average. When I activated the load/save overlay menu it dropped to around 70 fps average.
-
When using the DX11 and OpenGL backends there is a dark pixel spot that appears in the hot springs map that stays in a fixed screen position. Think of it like a fly on your screen that isn't actually a fly on your screen. This only appears at 1x internal resolution. At 2x internal resolution it will show up briefly upon loading a hot spring save state and then it is gone. It is not present at other internal resolutions. The left red-marked area looks like it might be another number 3 problem.

This is the same issue as
http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=3950&q=muramasa
I will put this issue here and update it there because I have no idea how the notification system works actually works. There is a flickering bar between the top and bottom screen areas. All backends, XFB did nothing.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/259/rsfe7u5.jpg/
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/263/rsfe7u.jpg/ -
This issue is no longer present in version 549 but I am putting it here anyway. I did not see it mentioned and maybe it will come back again like a bad STD. There is a black bar at the top of the screen in certains levels. It is only present in the DX9 backend. One area I know of is Yamato near the exit to Iga.

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
1 has gotten better from 433 to 549. 8 was in 433 but fixed in 549. The rest are in versions 433 and 549.
4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
Any most likely.
5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.
Dolphin 64-bit 433 and 549
Windows 7 64bit
i7 2600k at 4.6
Intel 320 SSD
16GB RAM
NVIDIA 560ti dual SLI 285.62
Xi-Fi Titanium

FYI number 7 has the issue for both character's endings.

#2 looks fine to me.
#3 looks like the problems caused by AA, but i can't be sure from your low res screenshots. If it's the same issue seen in http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/5189/muramoosea2.png (black line around the head, and lighter line going through it are the most obvious problems), then that is definitely caused by AA.
Updated by TanukiTanuki13 over 12 years ago
Looks like I was wrong about 2. Kind of a wierd effect.
I am not using AA. I tried 4x, window-size, auto window-size, and 1x and the problems with 3 are still there.
I had imageshack resizing images by accident. I will try and get better pics up tomorrow.

While taking pics in the hot springs area I noticied a box of gradient white bars that moves with the character kind of like a fog effect. I am unsure if this is normal or not. It may just me a Dolphin thing because of the better clarity it provides. It is easier to spot while moving.

ok, 3 is probably supposed to be like that. That looks similar to the poor tiling that can clearly be seen in the screenshot i posted before. This wouldn't be seen on console, due to the low resolution of the wii, but i'm fairly certainly it is there.
Updated by fagoatse over 12 years ago
hmm I've beaten the game a noticed barely any issues, perhaps 2 or 3 form this list + garbled sound in both HLE and LLE.
Since it's a 2D game and all these gfx issues are present in all backends I think it's as Tanuki says "It may just me a Dolphin thing because of the better clarity it provides".
Updated by TanukiTanuki13 over 12 years ago
I did some more comparison shots for 3 and I think at least part of it may be a Dolphin issue. I have noticied that the location of some of the graphical issues change based on the backend selected. If you look at the shots in a slideshow you can actually see parts of the image are shifted.

The lines problem is a duplicate of issue 3423.
Updated by TanukiTanuki13 over 12 years ago
FYI, a few of the line issues are still present in DX11/OpenGL.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/515/rsfe7u1.jpg/
I also found this issue again with DX11

Issue 3423 says about DX11/OpenGL running in native resolution, you obviously have increased efb scale in those pics. Never mind it is old, something might have changed by now (or not :-p).
Updated by TanukiTanuki13 over 12 years ago
I went ahead and tested DX11 with 1x IR and EFB Scale on and off and there are still lines in spots. All kinds of little things going on with this game.
Updated by kostamarino over 12 years ago
Try OpenGL with native res too. Anyway, 2D games don't scale well with higher resolutions like 3D games do, you will get pixelization (if no filtering is used) or might get artifacts (if filtering is used). The game engine itself might use some filtering in this case and make those lines appear.
Updated by TanukiTanuki13 over 12 years ago
OpenGL is the same as DX11.
Here is the DX9 shot in the same spot as the pic in comment 11. 1x no EFB Scaling for all.

I realize it was a terrible idea to group issues like this. It confuses me and I made the damn thing. I will split things up in the future. Sorry.
To summarize.

- Mentioned here also issue 3423

- Issue 3950

I think 1 and 3 may be related so anything else I find out about them I will put here. For anything else I will use existing issue reports or just make a new one as needed.

Wish I could edit.
I originally mentioned issue 3925 in 3. I found out it is a seperate issue and will post info there from now on.

- Status changed from New to Won't fix
Sorry, this issue is not useful.
I am unable to see these problems in game or even in many of your screenshots.
If graphical problems persist in recent revisions of Dolphin when disabling all "Hacks" and "Enhancements" please make a new issue.
Be sure to include screenshots of what the game is SUPPOSED to look like. (and don't use imageshack)
