Description

1) Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
"RSBE01", etc):
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii), RZDE01

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Black layer within the rippled red circle. Black border around the treasure chest icon. In the temple of time, the marker, which indicates the statue, should have a reddish border around it --- I am not sure about this one because it was hard to see.

Observed: Bright red colour filling the circle. Aqua blue or yellow layer overlapping the treasure chest icon. These colours incorrectly coincide with the triangles in the mini-map. Magenta colour filling the small circle (indicates location of statue) in the temple of time.

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.

This wasn't reported, so I assume no. I have tested the problem with 3.0-555. Although using Open-GL correctly displayed what I described, the black smeary borders (it's part of the game) around the mini-map is not showing.

4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
DX9 and DX11. Also OpenGL, but problem was partly fixed eventually. I don't know which revision exactly, but perhaps the later 3.0 revisions.

5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.

Tested with 3.0-555, 32-bit. I was previously using 7719. I am very certain hardware is irrelevant, as I pretty much pin-pointed the general source of the problem.

6) Please provide any additional information below.
The resolution of the mini-map is more refined in 7719. In 3.0-555, the resolution is very blocky (could be normal, but not sure).

I am mostly interested in the fixes for DX9/DX11.

7) Attachments. IMPORTANT! We have a limited storage quota on
GoogleCode, so please use a 3rd party host for screenshots or any other
files (http://min.us/ for example).

Would you please test 3.0-505 (r0f2d31e7278b) with this game? Let us know if it showing correctly there.

No, the results are identical to 3.0-555. In summary:

DX9 - Black smeary border is missing. Treasure box icons, etc. are not displaying correctly.
DX11 (uses backward compatibility if otherwise) - Black smeary border is present (displays correctly). But treasure box icons, etc. are not displaying correctly.
OpenGL - Treasure box icons, etc. are displaying correctly (only in later 3.0 revisions). However, the black smeary border is missing.

In addition to the above, the texture of the mini-map looks grainy compared to the one from r7719.

This issue is fixed by tev-fixes 3 branch and mini-map objects are relying on the same code as SH Shattered Memories flashlight

Please don't merge issues affected by tev-fixes together (even if the same code change seems to fix the problem). The problem is more complicated than that and it was decided that tev-fixes is not the correct fix to the problem. This kind of issue will be addressed post-4.0.

Thanks for testing, though :)

OK.
btw, to avoid blue borders on objects Force filtering and Anisotropic filtering must be off
