0%
Description
- Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties:
any/all
2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
games to run in 3D (passive 3D tv not active)
3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
not sure pretty sure its just dolphin not coded correctly for this yet.
4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.buy a passive 3d tv (mine is the LG 47LW450U
2.install nvidia drivers that support 3D (295.10) and 3D play tV software, set that up
3.set TV to 1920x1080 on desktop, set dolphin to 1920x1080(preferably) full screen res, enable 3D in both dolphin and nvidia CP
5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.
3.0 358
6) Please provide any additional information below.
Passive 3DTVs require that the screen in 3d mode is either 1920x1080x30hz(possibly 50hz) or 1280x720x60hz but if the screen is in 1920x1080p form the desktop dolphin will make the res 640x420 which 3d does not support,
possible solutions to this
A have an option to set the screen hz rate with the resolution and not rely on windows res settings
B enable side by side picture, i believe that side by side would be the better option as it wouldnt rely on the nvidia drivers to drive the 3d.

Do you have fullscreen res set to 640x480 (the default)?
Updated by Linkinworm over 12 years ago
nope its set to either 1280x720 or 1920x1080 as 3d mode only suppost these

I like (a) but (b) side by side is not a good as steroscopic. Maybe as another option would be fine.
Anyway, I have passive acer and I only use DX11 and press the nvidia hotkey to toggle the 3d effect - works perfectly in the 3d supported res.
With DX9, you can't do that. You have to check steroscopic 3d in the dolphin options and deal with a host of terrible bugs. No one can tell me why they are doing this instead of letting the 3d feature handled simply by the hotkey like every other game out there.

DX11 doesnt allow me to change the depth using the nvidia shortcut keys, makes the 3d pretty pointless as its very minimal
