Emulator Issues #550

Description
I still do not understand the issue with this but it looks like a blending
problem. When I was using Dolphin-Emu-Playground, disabling Blendmode
(http://i41.tinypic.com/2uqohtc.jpg) fixes the bug in the title screen /
file menu screen but not in-game.

What is this playground thing?
And also, is SMG fully visible and playable without blendmode?

Dolphin Playground is omega's latest, somewhat silly, project. Personally, I don't
really see the reason for its existence, other than copying PCSX2.
I think blendmode is a red herring - the problem likely has something to do with the
bloom and bad alpha in a texture copy, or something.

What about the hack on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q86tQBEOnLA)? It
works all there. Can't someone figure out how that version works and maybe merge it
into the current svn? Because of its hackiness, perhaps it would be best to put it
as an option (like the "Projection hack of r945" checkbox).

that looks like slakes smg hack (check the forums). you can only play to the first star.

really? It was very slow (like 20 fps), so I didn't play it much...but the graphics
were PERFECT! I just thought it would be possible to merge those changes into the
current source so this hack doesn't become completely obsolete and forgotten.

ok. but how did you fix the graphics problems?
Updated by omegadox over 15 years ago
only 'fixed' the menu graphics by disabling blendmode

in r2288, with the r945 projection hack enabled, old images of things such as the
star pointer, which tended to stick around in the same place on the screen, now are
slowly "squeezed" towards the center.
just thought I should mention it...

It's weird and hard to describe but it looks like whatever's on the framebuffer is
being streched all over the place constantly, looks like a watery effect.

Maybe it has something to so with the memory leak (issue 588), as it appeared in the
same approximate revision. That would mean that the memory leak has something to do
with the framebuffer...I'll bring it up there and see what they think.
