Animal Crossing stuck at start screen

- Game Name and ID: Animal Crossing, GAFE01
2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The "Press Start to Play" (or similar wording) never appears on the start screen. Pressing enter, or whatever button the start button is set to, does not work. It is not possible to get past the start screen.
3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
Worked in Dolphin 3.0. Just tried with the latest 3.5 release, and this problem occurs.
4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Load up the game
- The Press to Start message will never appear.
5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.
Version: Dolphin 3.5
OS: Mac OS X 10.8
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6490M

go into the configuration and set the controller port 1 to standard controller.

Setting the controller port 1 to standard controller worked. Thanks, sorry for the trouble.
