Description

Game Name:
Hikaru no Go 3

Game ID:
GHTJA4

What went wrong?
Slow down, no matter the backend chosen. This in turn affects the sound, which is is garbled. This in turn renders the game unplayable, as the halting/chopping can affect transitions to advance into the game. Would love a game-specific patch, because graphically this game is on the lower end of the scale, for sure (it's a go/baduk/weiqi game, after all)

What did you expect to happen?
Using 3.0, during moments of transition within the game, it would occasionally crash. As I get the familiar "could not save state" write error (I've looked high and low for a fix for this issue...), I could still fall back on in-game saves.

With 3.5 (x86), the game is unpredictable, even though settings are exactly the same. I have double checked that my backup is a good dump, having confirmed the crc32 checksum shown on redump match. FMVs are garbled/choppy, sound loops over the top of itself as well as sounding crunchy.
Will crash out more often during transition scenes than 3.0, but its one saving grace is that, when I run 3.5 in Admin mode, I can perform in-game saves. Unsure how reliable this will end up being long-term, however.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Play the game from scratch. I've also made sure that the internal res. is smaller than the fullscreen resolution & I'm not adding any outlandish filters, etc. I've also disabled non-game specific GameConfig Video patches.

My settings:
Direct3D11, 800x600 fullscreen res., V-Sync on, 1x Native res, no Anti-Aliasing, 1x Anisotropic filtering, Scaled EFB Copy checked, EFB copies Texture checked, DualCore/Idle Skipping checked, Framelimit off, Force console as NTSC-J.

Dolphin Version:
Dolphin 3.5 Revision 4798524b75bc4816c0d8525473e84f3dba28b3a

Did the game ever work correctly?
Yes, it worked reasonably well, especially with FMV sequences & sound, with 3.0.

Operating System and version:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Any other relevant information:
Intel Core i5 CPU 2.4GHz M 520 @ 2.40GHz
ATi Mobility Radeon HD 5470
