Description

Have you searched the issue tracker for a similar issue?
Yes, cannot find anything.

Game Name?
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II (also in the PLUS version), tried various diffrent iso's and even my own dump of the game.

Game ID?
For plus it's 740 (I think)

What went wrong?
Basicly the game runs correctly but the sound is crackling or stuttering up the moment it starts playing in the main menu, to the point where it becomes unbearable and annoying to hear.

What did you expect to happen?
I've tried messing with the DSP option in Dolphin but to no avail, tried LLE, HLE, Xaudio, OpenAL etc etc... nothing seems to work to fix the sound stuttering.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Starting up the game and just getting to the main menu and onward.

What version of Dolphin were you using?
3.5-348

64 or 32 bit Dolphin?
64-bit Dolphin

What version of Dolphin used to work?
I haven't been able to do away with the sound bug on any Dolphin version, I tried diffrent builds, the most recent revision aswell as 3.5 and 3.0 stable and also the builds from lectrode...

What Operating System were you using and what are your hardware
specifications?
Windows 7 (x64)
Intel I7 980x @ 4.0Ghz
2x580GTX 1,5GB SLI, 12GB DDR3 9-9-9-24

64 or 32 bit Operating system?
64-bit Windows 7

Any other relevant information or links to logs:
Will try and upload a videofile later.

Could not reproduce this one using DSP LLE. DSP HLE seems to be a bit bugged.

Alright, I recorded the error I described, mind you tho, Dxtory wasn't really playing along, the music cuts out about 2 seconds after it starts playing which it doesn't do if I'm not recording my screen.

You can find the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHevY6lx36M

Like I said the music just stops, I tried with diffrent codecs but it does it like that every time, anyways the crackling you hear is consistent, so when I'm not recording and the music plays all the time, it sounds like what you hear in those few seconds you hear the music in the video, if you're still following me?

Also I cannot for the life of me get the video stretched with Phantasy Star Online, all other games stretch just fine to 1920x1200 with Widescreenhack and all, only PSO never does.

P.S. the framerate dips also only seem to happen when I'm recording.

I think that if you cant run the game at 100%, the sound will crackle. The new-axe hle is more accurate than the old hle but not LLE and its faster than LLE and just like lle the audio will crackle and slow down if you cannot run the game at 100%

Joffrie, I didn't hear any crackling in the video, but the audio did stutter. If you switch the DSP back-end to OpenAL, the audio will be timestretched and the audio will not stutter.

Will give the possible solutions a shot and report back, the game runs fine tho when I'm not recording. Thx in advance!

I meant fine on the framerate side of things, the audio prob is still there. But like I said will try the solutions and report back.

Could you test 3.5-1155 and report if the bug is fixed or not?
