closedSecond Wiimote behaving weird upon launch of Donkey Kong Country Returns
0%
Description
Game Name?
Donkey Kong Country Returns PAL
Game ID?
SF8P01
What went wrong?
upon launching DKCR with 2 wiimotes connected and refreshed, the first wiimote correctly lights up its first led and is immediately usable in the game. but on the second wiimote all 4 leds light up, and selecting "2 players" results in a "please connect second wiimote"-message, so the second wiimote does not seem to be connected. this can be corrected by hitting ALT-F6. dolphin then displays a "wiimote 2 connected" message and the leds on wiimote 2 go out with only the second led remaining. now everything is working
this is the only game i encountered this problem with.
also, it happens using microsoft as well as toshiba bluetooth stack.
turning speaker data on or off in dolphin's wiimote settings does not have any effect on the problem.
What did you expect to happen?
i would expect both wiimotes co correctly light up their LEDs and to be usable immediately on launch of DKCR - just as it's like on other games i've tried.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- connect 2 wiimotes
- start dolphin, go into wiimote settings an hit refresh to make sure both are connected
- start DKCR
- all four LEDs on second wiimote should light up
- select "2 players" in the game menu.
- a message should pop up requesting to connect the second wiimote
- ALT-F6 fixes the problem and connects wiimote
