Description

Game Name?
Rhythm Heaven Fever

Game ID?
SOME01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Audio and video are not synced, so game is unplayable.

What did you expect to happen instead?
I want audio to work perfectly

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Any level, any time.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0.2

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Yes, on dolphin 3.5 audio is synced perfectly, I could even complete entire game with my eyes closed.
You could say that I should play on 3.5 then, but in dolphin 3.5 audio many, many times just cuts off.

What are your PC specifications?
Windows 7 64bit
Intel Core i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3292 MHz x4
8gb ram
Video card: gforce gtx 560 ti

Are you using the 32 or the 64 bit version of Dolphin?
64

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
I'm using the same configuration as in dolphin 3.5, but it doesn't help.
Also, I know that my computer can run it perfectly.

If the audio is between 100 - 250 ms behind, we know. It's an audio mixer issue that no one has gotten around to tackling.

If it's ahead or falling more than a second behind on xaudio2, then it's not the normal problem and it's worth looking into.

It's like you said, less than a second.

What happened? I have to admit, audio never cuts off again, but instead, there is that audio desync, another major problem for this game, and it was fine in earlier version of the emulator.

It's not that it was ever fine before. It's just that the emulator is failing to push out the audio right away.

Before, it pushed out audio asynchronously, which caused crashing, missing instruments, etc.

This needs to be fixed imo, but, no one is working on it currently.

I guess old-ax-hle vs new-ax-hle? new-ax-hle has an higher latency (by design...), but it shouldn't be more than this 100 to 250 ms.

Is a/v complete out of sync (one is faster/slower) or do you have a constant latency?

degasus, it's a known issue, for some reason at full speed audio falls behind. If you run the game at 55 fps it works fine. There's a SERIOUS latency issue in dolphin.

This should be fixed (or at least very improved) in latest master.

Did you at least read through the previous suggestions?

You can probably close this; RHF works well now, with no perceptible latency issues. On Windows at least, haven't tried Linux yet.
