Game Name?
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Game ID?
SQUE01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Some of the cutscenes and the title screen are glitched with a purple tint on 3/4 of the screen (the lower-right quadrant is unaffected). It doesn't seem to happen during gameplay (that I've noticed).

What did you expect to happen instead?
No purple tint.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]

  1. Simply play through the initial stages of the game. The glitch is subtly visible at the title screen, within 30 seconds of the start of a new game when the loftwings are flying to skyloft, and especially visible during the nightmare sequence when Link first arrives at the sealed grounds.

It happens with both D3D and OGL and seems independent of any graphics settings or enhancements.

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-1340,
4.0-1146,
4.0-146

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Yes- 4.0-146. The glitch was present in 4.0-1146 and the latest build (4.0-1340)

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
i5-2500k
4GB RAM
EVGA GTX-660
Windows 8.1 x64

Are you using the 32 or the 64 bit version of Dolphin?
x64

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

The glitch is more subtle (but still visible) in the very first scenes:

It's very hard to see a the title screen, but it's there if you look for it:

Try unchecking ignore format changes

I see. This glitch should be listed on the game's wiki page, since ignore format changes is on by default.

No it isn't; it just stopped getting set by default at some point (due to another glitch being fixed, ironically enough.)

No one bothered to do enough testing, or the behavior changed with one of the mergers. I'm guessing the latter considering how much it is tested.

Requesting Kosta to put it back in the ini.

Nevermind... Sorry. It is still necessary, but I think it should be written in the wiki. Also, see the following link if you are interested as to why I'm here in the first place. :P
