Description

Game?

Sonic Heroes - G9SE8P

Instead of setting the game to run at 1x IR, instead disable Scaled EFB Copy to make the game look much, much better by default.

Probably should be done on all versions of the game.

IR needs to be a (Multiple of 640-528) otherwise the Black areas appears.

I can confirm JMC's findings here, Multiple of 640-528 doesn't fix it.

Ok, so, I'm apparently dumb. 1x IR works, 2.5x IR, and 3x IR work on my computer with Scaled EFB off.

This is invalid, I didn't test well enough, sorry.

I don't get, it, why it is invalid then if disabling scaled efb copy fixes it?

I put it as invalid because we still need to lock IR in the configuration anyway. My basic idea for this issue was that the game is locked to 1x IR in the ini. If you could still disable scaled EFB copy for the game by default, that'd be great, but I don't know if it'd really help users at all.

But no matter the ir setting with scaled efb copy disabled i don't get this issue, it doesn't seem ir dependent with it disabled.

No shit? I get the issue at 1.5x IR, 2x IR, and 4x IR? Are you on an AMD card?

Damn, you are right, now this is weird, how come 2x has an issue and 2,5x doesn't? I didn't test every single setting before.

Well it could be locked to 3x IR with EFB scaled copy off instead :-p.

Depends on where the edge of the pixels are, according to what I read about the fix.

Uh yeah, could have told you in advance that turning off scaled EFB copies is not a fix for higher IRs. In general that option might be more compatible than scaled EFB copies though. I haven't tested extensively (nor did I read every comment in this issue), but if you find that turning off scaled EFB copies works at least as well as turning them on in all scenarios, it should be enabled by default. Otherwise it's probably not worth it.
