Emulator Issues #7336
closedDolphin Crash using shaders under OpenGL backend
0%
Description
Game Name?
Any GC game.
Game ID?
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
GC Games:
If XFB is disable (default option), dolphin crash at startup when shader is other than off and OpenGL is selected.
If XFB is enable, dolphin loads the game and apply shader just fine.
During game we can change XFB keeping shader option and Dolphin still works fine.
What did you expect to happen instead?
Emulator should not crash using shaders when XFB is disable (default option)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]
- Extract latest clean Dolphin
- Select any shader and keep XFB disable.
- Load any GC game. Dolphin stops working and force close.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-1767
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
I don't know right now.
What are your PC specifications?
Windows 8.1.1 x64
Intel Core i7 3770K @4.7GHz
Nvidia GTX 690 (337.88 drivers)

Use the 332 drivers, NVIDIA broke something, not Dolphin's fault, at least according to the data that's been collected.

Actually newer drivers work, if remove ogl-tex2d branch changes
or you can disable Emulate Format Changes
