Game Name?
The legend of Zelda twilight princess.

Game ID?
RZDE01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
The old hyrule field fix is currently in the patches section of the game menu. Selecting it results in the game refusing to boot.

What did you expect to happen instead?
The patch to function. However, the patch for new versions of Dolphin on the wiki also causes the game to crash, although it's always possible that that this is user error.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]
1.open the game preferences menu
2. Go to patches and select hyrule field fix
3. Start emulation

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-1841

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Windows 8.1 x 64
Nvidia 660m
I7 3632qm

Are you using the 32 or the 64 bit version of Dolphin?
64

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

It's likely because you have the wrong version of Twilight Princess for it.

Probably but why does it show up then? Are not the patches supposed to be segregated by disk id? I didn't add the old code it was there in the newest version of dolphin. No one removed it.

It's supposed to be there. Twilight Princess Wii NTSC has multiple revisions under the same disc id, which is why it's showing up. It works on my 1.0 Wii Twilight Princess.

Odd, the disk I ripped from says its revision 1 (0 technically) and so does dolphin. Downloaded a iso and that still didn't work so I'm not sure if its just not working for me or just working for you. any setting changes don't seem to make a difference.

This disc revision stuff needs to be sorted out before our release for sure. It's too much of a performance regression from 4.0 otherwise.

rzeinemann7: they don't start counting revisions at 1. You don't have v1.0.

Rachelbryk, yes I do that's why I said I have technically revision 0 in parentheses. There are only two versions of the usa NTSC disk

Revision 1: rzde-0a-0
Revision 2: rzde-0a-2

Some people might be having issues if they are confusing the Japanese disk with the usa disk though.

My disc says revision 0 in Dolphin, what does yours say?

My disk says revision 0. There are only 2 versions of usa twilight pricess. Revision 0 and revision 2.

Add me to the list of people the patch doesn't work for, though instead of a crash I just get a blank white screen. I apparently have revision 0.
If it helps, my MD5 checksum was 6a0b3ced7a26dfbd55500bbeafe0206a.
Using Dolphin 4.0-1939 64-bit, though it hasn't worked on any build I've tried.

I have revision 0 (game id:GZ2E01). Patch works for me on Dolphin 4.0-2069.

Okay. What we're having here is just the multiple revisions of the Twilight Princess messing with the hack. That's a separate issue.

It'll need to be handled at some point.

Actually, it's not just dolphin not being able to tell between revisons (though it actually can in disk properties, it simply doesn't treat games with different revisions as different games) it also can't tell between the US and Japanese versions of twilight princess, marking them both as american.

Try purging your cache in the view thing and seeing if it still does that.

Does not fix it. The only version of the japanese disk actually has the same game Id and revision number as the revision 0 us disk. The only way to tell them apart is by the JAP or USA printed on the actual disk after the revision number, but dolphin does not read this (I'm not actually sure that this information is even in the iso). Combine this with the fact the old ztp hack worked with both us and japanese versions (or at least didn't crash the japanese) and you have a recipe for confusion. (Which is why I said screw it and have a European iso too)

my mistake I swapped out iso's at some point and forgot, it does actually recognize it I think
