Description

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
When render-to-main-window is enabled, the main application window is hidden when Dolphin is running in fullscreen mode. This is highly annoying because it prevents me from alt-tabbing out of the emulated game and change the configuration.

What did you expect to happen instead?
Being able to alt-tab out of the game and do stuff in the main window (e.g. change configuration)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Enable render-to-main-window mode
  2. Start Dolphin, run a game, switch to fullscreen
  3. Alt-tab out of the game
  4. Desperately look for the main window just to find that it's hidden without any indication as to where it went.

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-3261 (or something like that, anyway)

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Probably something which didn't have the recent exclusive-fullscreen changes included worked.

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
openSUSE 13.1 x64
Intel GPU (latest git mesa drivers)

It's always been this way. Why would you use render to main if you want a separate window? We don't create a second window if the user has specifically enabled an option that says they don't want a second window.

You would use render to main window because that's what you'd prefer for the windowed mode. A setting which purely affects windowed mode shouldn't affect the fullscreen behavior.

Change this from Regression to Enhancement if you like, but I don't think this should be marked invalid.
