Description
I have had the version 4.0 working fine over the last few months, however upon starting the programme the other day I got the error "unknown DVD command 00000000 - fatal error"
I'am using win7 Ultimate 64-bit.
The issue arises with every game I try be it wii or gamecube.
When I launch a game the game window appears but the error window pops up and cant be shut down as it immediately re-appears when closed. The game will eventually stop and the game window is left unresponsive.
I do not know what has caused this as I have stated it appears to have happened out of nowhere. I believe the only thing that I have as a clue as to what went wrong is the error code, however I cant find any information about it.
PC specs:
Intel i7 4770k at 4.2GHz
Asus z-87 Pro
Corsair vengeance DDR3 1600mhz 2x8GB
no dedicated GPU however that didnt stop me from playing most wii and gamecube games on dolphin in the past.

This issue report makes it kind of hard to understand what's going on, so I have a few easy follow up questions.
When these DVD commands show up, are you still on 4.0? Have you tried a development version?
Do you have cheatcodes on? I know cheats can mess up memory addresses something fierce and cause all kinds of weird errors.
Do you have fast disc speed on or any other hacks known to cause issues in some titles?
Did this all of the sudden start happening on the same build that was working before? If so, you may be better served going to the forums for support.

I know it may seem hard to understand, but the issue itself is rather baffling, Is their really know other accounts of an issue with the same error code?
Yes it all happens on 4.0. I have only ever tried another version of dolphin a few months ago, and that was the build that supported triforce emulation.
I do not have cheat codes on.
I have no other hacks on. The settings are all stock as I have deleted the app on multiple occasions and reset all the user settings, but it changed nothing.
Yes it all of a sudden started happening on the same 4.0 build. I will also try the forums I thought maybe it best to try here first.

Oh, I got it. You need to turn off the baseboard in the GC tab of Options/Configuration.

You said triforce, and a few days ago someone mentioned this happening a few days ago on IRC with the baseboard attachment on the GC area.
Things just happened to line up luckily here. Closing the issue now; that attachment is meant to be on for Triforce games only.
