Description

-I note issue #7942 was deleted perhaps since it wasn't clear that this problem affects the standard built-in MSAA without any 3rd party tools involved...reposting...

Game Name?
-(any/all)

Game ID?
-(any/all)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
-enabling MSAA in D3D no longer works

What did you expect to happen instead?
-it to work(!)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. use the D3D backend
  2. no matter the antialiasing setting (x2x4x8) there is no antialiasing

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
-4.0-4643

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
-4.0-4618

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
-Win7 64bit, i7-980x, GTX970, latest drivers (no update since bug noted)

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
-also OpenGL crashes for me every time when trying to close the Dolphin game window so am unable to use, am still trying to pin this down and will submit as separate issue

Sure. Have done that also. Appreciate you may not have had a chance to look at 7942 again

Am getting lots of comments about drivers and tools when I keep trying to point out this is happening in relation to Dolphin, no drivers or tools required
